ann wilson's always known for her powerhouse vocals, but nancy wilson's tone, while lighter, still is beautiful and emotive. i caught ann wilson on tour about two years ago, and her voice still has a great power. she did a stripped down, acoustic version of 'alone', and i was stunned.

These two girls are blessed with talent and with the ability to sing so well together! I love how even though the song is in a different key from the original, Nancy just nails it and Ann is such a great compliment with her harmonies! Way to go and an amazing performance!

They've been my favorite band since the seventies. I've seen them about six times the last one in 2019 and I think they're going back out on tour next year. They still put on a great show.

Here's a fun fact about Ann Wilson of Heart. Floor Jansen has named her as one of her major vocal influences.

Anne and Nancy wrote most of the well known songs from the 70s. They reinvented themselves in the 80s with a string of hits. I suggest listening to dog and butterfly... Funny fact... their most popular song was These dreams... sung by Nancy Wilson.

Nancy has and always has had a beautiful voice. These are the definition of angel’s voices

Nancy Wilson is a rock goddess and one of the best woman guitarists ever. Her husband is Cameron Crowe, the director. She even did music for one of his films. BTW she did the lead on the album. And she is still a babe. Check out the video for Never.

Very nice review. Heart fan from way back, nice to see someone review this live version as opposed to the big hair MTV video. This version is breathtakingly beautiful imho. I never realized how good Nancy sang until I saw this live version.

Check out: The Situation (see Heart Concert for the Americas 30:29, her version (Night at Sky Church) of Back to Avalon, Stranded, Raised on You, There's the Girl, Treat Me Well, Hey You, Nada One, ... Walking Good, Strangers of the Heart, I could go on. I favor Nancy's songs that she wrote. Ann is one of the best singers, period, but Nancy is excellent singing and one of the best guitarists, period.

I think she is the Guitar Queen and Ann is the Queen of Rock n Roll.I love their relationship then and now. Especially since they got back together. Nancy is underrated as a singer because of Ann but they harmonize well together. One is Two and there is at least 3 more songs. You should react to Dog and Butterfly to listen to Nancy sings under Ann. I have that dvd it's amazing. Their book is good also. Ann tried but it worked better for Nancy's voice. You should check out Wait for an answer, it has no video but it's worth it beause of Ann's unbelievable vocals...

She has beautiful, natural melisma in her voice [As she was using it throughout the song not just in the high note at the end] that you would very easily overlook and not notice. What a skilled singer . In some ways I kind of prefer her to Ann , but there’s no denying ann’s powerhouse vocals!

Stranded is another song Nancy sang lead on.

This is the version I listen to when I play this song. I hate mid/late 80's production on songs from that time (not just Heart, but everyone). They would go way overboard on the layers and texture with too many keyboards and overdubbing, that the song itself would often get lost.

I miss artists that sound better live than recorded. Pat Benatar would be another one for you USA styles.

Pat Benetar is amazing. She really uses all her opera training to reach from the lowest to the highest notes. I saw her live in concert in the 80's. Pat and her husband Neil were mentors on American Idol a couple of years ago. They are such a good team. It was nice to see them give the singers some great feedback, and to hear them perform live again.
