    I get body shamed far too often for being so skinny. “Are you okay?” “You need a good meal” “You look ill” “You have a figure of a boy” “I wish I could eat anything I wanted and be as thin as you” So so hurtful, (the majority of us) don’t go up to you other people & tell you to loose weight because you’re really fat and you’ll have health conditions later down the line. SKINNY SHAMING IS JUST AS BAD AS SHAMING FAT PEOPLE

    I really don't thinks it's as bad. People make assumptions or are jealous but they're not blaming you for something you can't control. I'm also underweight and what bothers me is mostly my health, not other people's opinion. I even thought that I looked more feminine like that than if I was muscular (in my case it's one way or the other) but it is worrying, and having a healthy weight is the only thing that really matters. Also, we obviously aren't at a healthy weight but some oversized poeple are actually healthy and still get shamed for their metabolism; even though they shouldn't have to change anything. So that's why I think it's not the same.

    @@devorastrongyear8518 It's not your fault, it's theirs. They shouldn't make you feel that bad. But please don't do anything to yourself, you deserve to live as much as anyone else and you should be able to do it no matter your weight. I can assure you that it will get better, it takes time but just don't hurt yourself. You'll eventually be able to be yourself without being judge by everyone you know. You just need the right people in your life that will understand and help you.

    @@devorastrongyear8518 Not at all, there's plenty other people that are willing to accept you okay? You'll find them and won't have to bear what your family says to you on your own. So please hang on, it's very hard for the moment but you'll find people who you can be honest with and that are kind-hearted. You don't have to stay with people that make you feel bad, you deserve friends that would make you feel great. Hang on and remember that you're worth it.

    People don't know that being called "skinny" hurts the same as being called "fat".     People are always like “oh I wish I was as skinny as you.” I hate when people say this because being under weight is just as hard as being over weight, and most people don’t understand that. It’s hard for me to find pants that fit, and I’m not anorexic or anything. I just have a fast metabolism. I’m just desperately wanting to gain weight so I can find clothing that fits me well.

    I weighed 134 pounds when I was 18 , now 21 and I weight 163 pounds , I just ate double of what I would usually eat , not including fast food or red meat as that can really be deadly ,

    If you're already in good health you don't have to worry about gaining more weight. People will always have their opinion on you but what matters is that you accept yourself. If you do feel unhealthy with your current weight then I hope you can get to the weight you need to be.

    You can eat alot but still be under the calorie intake to gain weight yk also your body may burns off fat more than others which try adding 200-300 more calories to the recommended amount should help also eating 3 time a day with snacks in between helps

    It may be different for some, but for me it is very easy to gain weight. I can gain 2kgs in a day and i have to work so hard to lose weight. I try so hard working out and dieting yet struggle to lose weight. I guess you can say you're lucky

    Im glad my family told me i look anorexic because i finally woke up. i was officially underweight according to my BMI. gained 15 kilos (30 pounds) and have never felt better. and im not fat either. instead of getting defensive, try to see if they actually have a point.

    @@harrymilne281 although you're eating loads, and it may seem like you are, you're probably not eating the correct foods. just eating high amounts of food won't gain you weight : you need to get the right amount of carbs proteins and fats. i suggest you Google if the foods you're eating are beneficial for gaining weight, as they most likely aren't. and for the last part, I actually also suffer from pectus and am starting to diet myself properly, and starting to do calisthenics in my room (I'd say my condition is between mild and severe, more so to the mild side(I get short of breath and chest pains sometimes)and the indent is kinda noticeable) hopefully for 2019 I can actually minimize my condition as Im aiming to get to 60kg (currently 52kg @ 5"11,age 16). if you're feeling anxious about your chest, look up channels such as riley burn, and pectus pt if you haven't already, I've been following these pages for a while and it's actually what's recently been motivating me to bulk up in order to improve my condition. also, if you Google "bodybuilders/celebrities with pectus excavatum" you'd be surprised with their transformation, with the muscle you can barely see it. seeing people with pectus and their transformation is actually another motivating factor for me. in fact riley burn / pectus pt also made a specific video on that and I highly recommend you watch it. and trust me, about eating loads, I know it sounds cliché but that probably won't work, you need to eat little and often (so I've heard), for example right now I'm in the process of planing my own meal plan - which is kinda difficult as I'm still in school but w/e. so yea I hope I helped u, coming from a pectus sufferer too if you have any questions just feel free to ask

    I’m 20 and 6 months ago I was 125 and I’m also 5’10 , I was pretty skinny never felt comfortable and could never gain weight, 3 months ago I just started eating a lot 3 stable meals a day mostly steaks, then dessert and a protein shake I now weigh 149, ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS EAT A SHIT TON ITS EASIER THAN IT SEEMS YOU ALL GOT THIS AND GOOD LUCK

    "Eat more, you're skinny." That's what my grandma tells me and I also think that's what my classmates are trying to tell me. I'm trying to eat more food but when I'm forcing myself to eat lots I just feel like I want to vomit, and sometimes when I get my rice they say "It's too little add more" like they don't know that I also have limit on how much food I can eat. I really want to gain weight and I'm trying my best to eat lots of food. Also the reason why I don't want to go to school because people will tell me again that I'm so skinny, I'm trying my best but they also don't know it hurts.. I'm also a tall person but I'm really skinny. Just wish I'm not skinny so I can finally live a peaceful life without hearing any hurtful words from my classmates and family.

    Instead of eating more in your meals a day, try eating more meals a day. Instead of breakfast, lunch and dinner, eat snacks on the side and have a bunch of meal times instead of just three. Make sure you eat steaks, eggs and full fat yogurt as snacks because it's easy calories, protein and fat. Working out helps alot too because it makes you hungry. Make a routine so it's easier to use the time you have every day to accommodate for the newly added meal times. Make sure you have snacks in between meal times and if you are going to workout, make sure you don't eat before you work out and at least give yourself one hour to digest the food, or else you're going to regurgitate and all those calories etc..., get wasted.

    After a period of illness I lost a lot of weight and struggled to put the weight back on again. This was a period of my life when I was going from one illness to another until I stopped drinking milk, then my health started to improve considerably! Despite feeling a lot healthier and having a big appetite I still found it difficult to put weight on. I started snacking not long before I went to bed on goji berries, dark chocolate and a small bar composed of nuts and dates. This worked for me and now I’m filling out nicely! The best part is that the weight is going in all the right places! Still got a nice trim waist, must be all that green tea I drink! I think my microbiome has changed since I stopped drinking milk.

    If you want a make a good shake at home with basic ingredients at very low cost: 300ml of milk Cup of Oats Large tablespoon of peanut butter 1 Banana 2 tablespoons of frozen berries Total amounts to about 900-1000 Calories. Drink this everyday and it's very helpful. (also tastes pretty good)

    What I'm aiming to do ( recently started doing this) Two eggs each day A smoothie each day made from milk,fruit flavoured yoghurt, 1 or 2 bananas and juice.. Or melted Dark chocolate, peanut butter, banana and milk Finish a tuna can each day if I'm eating rice Peanut butter sandwich/ cheese as a snack Wish me luck :D

    Here's my hack foods I've found over the last 2 months of gaining weight -Oats (have pretty much everything in ingredients) -Cereal (especially before sleep) -Hard boiled eggs and mayo (easy to make and to take to work with you) -Cheese, full fat milk, lots of nuts, peanut butter & Chicken/Tuna (All your easy sources of protein) -Full fat greek yoghurt with honey -Ice cream -Sandwiches -Crisps (so much fat in crisps) -look for high calorie smoothie recipes Try to eat something every hour opposed to adding extra food in meals, and push yourself to actually start finishing your meals. Eventually you will start getting more of a hunger for more food. Make sure you eat more protein if you don't already. I've pretty much been 8 Stone / 50kg in weight most of my life and after a month I weighed just under 9 Stone / 57 Kg Avoid cardio exercise when possible, no running, cycling

    I weigh about 84 pounds, I’m a female, and I’m 17 years old. The highest weight I’ve ever been at was 90, and that was the end of last year. Here’s the thing is with me that I want to gain weight, I really do, I cry every time I weight myself. It’s just that I simply am never in the mood to eat. Normally people would eat when they get depressed, but not me, I just stop eating when I’m depressed or when I’m slightly down. I don’t know what to do anymore. It bothers me that I’m this thin, I’m not happy with my body what so ever. But here’s the thing, I always tell myself that if I do eat more then I’ll gain weight. I’m the only one that’s stopping myself from gaining weight. I sometimes wish that I wasn’t like this, that I didn’t view eating as a chore, and actually enjoyed eating. I don’t know if anybody can relate to me, but if you do, please reply to this with your story and your opinion. I will listen to everything, I need all the help I need.     Scarlet Red i completely understand what you’re going through. i’m 17 about 5’2 and 95 pounds i’ve always been underweight my whole life: under the average BMI curve, i’ve been called skinny by kids at school and even by my family, drank pedia sure and ensure my whole life, id only wear long sleeves and pants out because i’m insecure etc. i’ve stayed small, to the recent realization of my anxiety. i have a phobia of throwing up, so if i’m ever anxious i tend to lose appetite. which therefore leads to little weight gain throughout my childhood. eating was a chore for me to during these episodes of my life but i tried not to think too much about eating and try to find foods i liked and incorporate it with foods that help you gain weight. like fruit aren’t very high in calorie but i love it so much, so like in this video i’d eat it with yogurt. small things like this will help. not instantly of course but little by little results will show. i remember being stuck at 50 lbs for a long period of time and my pediatrician and parents were worried about me. i’d get anxious almost everyday and have an upset stomach, my doctor would misdiagnose because little did i know it was caused by anxiety, and my mental state, nothing physical. i cry too whenever i think of my weight. no one understands the constant wish of being “normal”. i always wish to be like my friends/look like my friends but i’m slowly learning to love my body. just this summer, because schools over, i started to gain a couple pounds. im starting to expand my wardrobe and wearing maxi dresses, tanks, short sleeves, and jumpsuits! (which i highly recommend jumpsuits for hot weather cause there’s more coverage than shorts, and you stay cooler) i’m underweight still, but i’m trying to appreciate the journey. i’m learning to stress less, i try to leave the house more and to eat “regularly”. i hope you’ll find your way and you find it comforting that you’re not alone. we all fight our own battle but it’ll be worth it on the other side❤️

    Eat avocado on toast and/or egg on toast for breakfast every morning. I tried that and in about 2/3 days I could see my legs getting a lot thicker. Plus it tastes niceeeee

    As a person who is underweight- eat good healthy food. Even just gaining just a pound helps. Around the age of 20 my metabolism changed. The skinnier I got- the worse everything got-skin issues, energy. When people around you start telling you that you are too skinny it creates feelings of panic. I have had a tough time trying to create healthy gains.. I miss my chubby cheeks :( I wish all fellow skinny people happy and healthy gains! We can do it !

    My dad told me to eat at least 4-7 bananas a day. It can be in milkshake form if you like, but I’m lactose intolerant so I eat bananas plain.Another tip for weight gain is to eat plenty of dates and cucumbers daily. I haven’t tried the banana one yet, but I tried the dates and cucumber for a couple of months and did feel a difference. I stopped after a while for no particular reason. But I think it did make a difference. I’m still really skinny although I eat so much. I will try the bananas for longer and hope to see a difference. Sorry for the life story lol

    when i was young dad was always mean, he would always bribe us with food to try to make things better. eventually being hit, you wanted to say it's not okay and food was the only thing you could control. i still struggle with eating enough, especially when i'm sad, but i appreciate the info on how to try to maintain a better weight, made me cry a little. i've eaten the past 4 days, which is really good

    Hi, I have tried increased eating with resistance training. One weighted workout for each large muscle group initially with 8*3 reps plus healthy eating. Increase a little more than what you usually eat. And healthy snacks like she says in the video. Most importantly the snack you take two hours after your workout is important. You can add a cup of yoghurt/ glass of milk. If you can't have a full glass even a half would do. Trust me it's more than important to have a positive attitude and consistence even if your progress is little try to appreciate it and continue the same routine. Good luck

    If you are struggling with gaining weight i can tell you a simple method i use to steadily gain weight: First of all if you have the same problem as i had and you cant eat for hours after waking up, i suggest you force yourself to eat something really light right after you wake up.. I always eat at least a couple of rusks right after waking up. This helps my stomach to wake up and i dont feel bad anymore for the first half of the day like i used to. The second trick is: at least one "snickers" ice cream a day, ofc it doesn't have to be snickers,, it should be something what is really tasty to you... With this simple trick i already gained 3kg in 2 weeks, so i should reach my desired +10 kg in a month or so... good luck guys, and have a nice day ;) Edit: of course i meant to add the snickers to your normal diet, not to exchange what you eat into ice cream ;D

    I feel terrible having a search of foods to eat to gain weight because I get body shamed every day it’s not fair that a 13-year-old has to go through what I go through these last years have been really tough but I’m on my way to weight gain not for anybody else just for myself I want to feel confident when I walk out the door.❤️🥺

    These are great ideas, I think I don’t gain weight possibly because I can’t eat gluten, dairy, or sugar. So I can have maybe about a third of all these options. I’m struggling to reach 110 lbs. at 5’7” tall. It has been a life long thing.

    I eat this exactly everyday and exercise daily. I gained 15lbs in one month. 165 to 180 now. Trying to get to 200 with muscle

    I am desperate for gaining weight. It doesn’t matter if I eat junk food everyday I still am unable to gain any weight. I’ve been struggling so much and people who call me “Skinny” don’t understand what I’m going through. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what should I eat anymore.     1 : Banana and nut butter / English muffin 2 : Full fat plain greek yogurt, with berries cinnamon and a drop of vanilla. optional chopped nuts and granola 3: Hummus and carrot, celery, bell pepper 4: Hard boiled egg mashed with full fat mayonnaise in whole wheat pita 5. Turkey breast rolled up around avocado 6. String cheese and grapes 7. Chocolate milk 8. Bag of nuts / nutrition bar with 8g protein and 5g fat. (take a snack bag of anything convenient for you when you're on the go.)

    its not that hard. actually its easier then losing weight. i struggled for more than 10 years. i have tried medication as well but didn't worked. but now I have gained 13kg naturally.. you just need to the know basics then you can gain as well

    I already have a high metabolism and lost weight after fracturing my spine in a car accident and the body cast suppressed my appetite making me lose 30 lbs in two months. I haven’t been able to gain it back and it’s been 5 years, so the weight loss has translated to my face, and all on my body including wrists, legs, arms, chest, etc. I’m significantly underweight for my height, as I am above 6 feet tall and used to weigh 165/170lbs (already low-normal weight for my height and age) and now I weigh 130lbs. Because of my injury and since starting college, I’ve found it more challenging to find good foods and proper means of exercising to gain weight that won’t strain my back or damage my body. Very recently I’ve felt nauseous at random intervals too. Not sure if this is anxiety related or certain foods I may be allergic to? It’s so frustrating because now my appetite is decreasing even *more* because if I eat too much my stomach feels like it’s in my throat or my stomach gets upset and I feel nauseous or reflux. When I *do* gain weight (usually over the summer) it never stays. I could gain 5 lbs in a day then go down 3 the next day. It’s like a never ending plateau.

    I'm anorexia. 23 years old at 158cm with 36 kg. I've been visiting the doctor for sometimes now. I gain 1 kg in 3 days. It's way too hard to gain weight. But I hope everything works out.
