Nice that she recognize older, male patients as well. Got it all; not well treated hypothyroid, after heart transplant immune drugs and PPI, IBS, massive gas production, probably SIBO or SIFO or both. Zero fat loss after 2 months on Keto. ACV, Vit D, Vit C, Q10, fish oil, magnesium supplements with no result.

  • @sharonjames5661

Hi I have a number of factors that have given me gut issues and I’m not sure how to start to reverse these. I had my gallbladder removed 8years ago and have chronic diarrhoea, early menopause started at 42 now 49 and post menopausal, gained 15 kg over the last few years, thyroid removed 2years ago due to cancer risk( nil thyroid issues previously) diagnosed with granuloma annulare recently. Eat healthy, minimal take out or processed foods, regular exercise (mainly weights and resistance), high functional anxiety. Unable to shift weight or feel energised

Would you consider 73 ng/dL of T3, Total too low? In my chart, it says I'm in the "acceptable" range, so I haven't been on levothyroxine or any other thyroid medications... I'm curious if there are other tests I should request, or if you think just cutting gluten would be okay? (PS the last time they checked my TPO, it was 928 units)

Dr. Childs, hypothetically if ones thyroid numbers are a very suppressed Tsh , a low ft3, low ft4, reverset3 at a 7 . what could be the issue. Pituitary checked , all good there. On Tirosint and cytomil. Being sent to endocrinologist as family doc cannot figure it out , very worried about suppressed tsh and yet the patient still has hypo symptoms. Any Idea why this could happen. Thanks so much, Peggy

As per usual....you have to have money to do all of these things. To get real answers you have to do all kinds of really expensive tests. Repeatedly to be able to follow up aswell. And then afford the supplement and treatments. And afford air filters and water filters. And to afford organic, locally produced high quality foods. This is impossible when you have lived off of disability for over 20 years. I eat whole foods, that's all I can do, but I have no real answers on exactly what is going on in my body. Regular health care system have been telling me for over 20 years that it's all in my head even though I finally got them to take TPO and I have antibodies. They still said that my symptoms are probably PSYCHOSOMATIC. It's insane. I just want to go to a functional medicine clinic bcs I know they could help me. It's heartbreaking to go on years and years knowing that there IS help to get but that it's out of reach for you......
