I am a mechanic I do the hard jobs but at 63 years old this looks like something I want to get into, I always enjoyed detailing cars, I have the best buffers and can make the paint shine, but the headlights look better after they are buffed and waxed but it does not last long, a month later they are foggy again, I tried water sanding and using a clear ceramic engine enamel, that did work to some degree, thank you for showing me the right way to do it, I will never do a half assed headlight restoration again

thank you for all of instructional videos. I started as a beginner and now the results are so much easier and better. I have completed about 60 headlights and have had a few problems due to age and prior coatings. I have gained so much knowledge from your videos. I still stay away from BMWs, KIAs, Porsches and Mercedes. I will become a PRO like you with more experience,,,thanks again

One thing that’s super not consistent is choice of polish compound. This vid Plastix !! What ??? Did the trick though. One thing I’ve been using lately with superior results is Crest mint toothpaste dab method. Wow what a shine and customer loves the fresh smelling minty headlights !!! I’ll be watching for this ninja method I. One of your upcoming vids. Thanks for all you do. I’ve learned a lot.

I recently found your channel and I'm really glad I did!!! You really have headlight restoration down to a science! I've done a few headlights too, also color-sanded paint, and with every video I'm thinking, "Why is this guy jumping from 800 to 3000 Trizact?" Have you tried using 1500 Trizact in-between the 800 and 3000? Pretty sure it's available in 3" pads. There's no doubt your results are awesome, really beautiful, just wondering if you ever tried the 1500 Trizact and what your thoughts were if you did. Thanks for sharing your method!

I learned that OFF spray ruins plastic and synthetic surfaces by spraying it on my sneakers a few times. I thought I was doing good to keep the bugs away but that stuff deteriorated the surfaces big time. The shoes got all sticky and attracted dust. I can only imagine what it does to headlight plastic.

Hey Mr. Pro, i wana preface this by saying i was an idiot for thinking the 2k clear method would work. I should’ve done more research and did it on another set of headlights before trying it on my own. With that being said i wetsanded both my headlights and sprayed them with 2k clear. The left one has cracking that isn’t exactly like spider cracking, more swirled out. Anyway i was wondering if using your headlight restoration method would work to remove the 2k clear and get them looking better than they’ve ever looked before.

2000-2008 Ford F150 are my nemesis !! Especially when there's still half of the clear coat on them. I don't know if the lower rpm drill should be used for the sending and the lower rpm for the polishing or vice versa? I've done about 20 car's and they look like great, but for the life of me, I can't satisfactorily do F150, and I use more sandpaper almost double what you do,,,lol,,,and I buy straight off your link's !!! Except I have different drills, 1 up to 750 rpm and the other up to 2400 rpm. Please help me,,,,, Ford F150 will be the death of me . Lol .

Brother I thought I was following your process to the letter. But I have somehow screwed up one headlight. I think it was the backing pad I was using with my drill. I have one that's not got the foam softness under the velcro, it's just rigid. Didn't realize I had the soft foam one. So I used it with the 500 grit, got it all cloudy, stepped up to the 800, then the trizac pad. After realizing I had the foam backing pad, I used it on the next one. It is crystal clear. So 4 times now I have used the 800 to get all the fine swirls out from the 500, then the trizac, then even used polishing compound and polished them, (I do some personal paint correcting on our vehicles) and it makes zero difference no matter what I do. Those slightly hazy swirls will not budge. It's not nearly as clear as the other one. Still has that cloudy hazy look. So I just keep repeating thinking the 800 plus the rest of the process will do it. Nope. Nothing seems to work. Have you ever had this happen early on? I don't know what to do. I thought about going ahead and spraying the Meguiars coating on it thinking maybe it would fill in the micro fine swirls all over it. But I'm afraid it won't help and I'll have wasted it and still have a slightly cloudy lens. PLEASE HELP!!
