I've learned a lot from this guy and use all the same methods and products. I enjoy learning from your videos. You pass on so much knowledge to us and most of us appreciate it. You have the best channel for headlights. I believe in my work cause it works. Meguiars made 83 million last year. I think they know what they're doing. If you watch other videos he explains the headlight and why you put the oil back on the headlight before the headlight coating goes on. Haters gonna hate. Lot's of money to be made with what he's telling us..............

I use all the same methods and products. But common sense plays a big part of doing lights. All American made lights have a tougher coating to take off. It's not easy but just keep watching all his videos and he'll teach the right way. Practice at junkyards or on your ex-girlfriend's car late at night. lol Have fun.

I was restoring a headlight last week and accidentally used a xylene-containing panel prep in order to prepare the headlight for clearcoat. It aged about 30 years in about 3 seconds. Crazing all over. Just about destroyed it immediately. Only ever use an IPA panel prep on polycarbonate!

Listening to your suggestions on aftercare, I started using an old bottle of Zaino Z2 Pro sealant which has "Ultra-Guard" UV/40 protection in it (a quick application every 1 to 2 months) and finally the headlights that I have restored on my car are keeping up great under summer sunlight! It's all in the UV shield capability. I bought the Meguiar's HC spray too, I want to give it a try when I'll have to restore again. I tried many other sealants before, including high end ones from G-Techniq, Dodo Juice, Meguiar's etc., Finish Kare 1000p and Collinite but they just weren't doing the same job. Thanks for your channel, it's really great man!

Just ppf your headlights with XPEL or llumar and you will not have to worry about sealants, coatings every 6 months to a year. You literally get it done and forget about it for years, most shops give a 10 year warranty on it too. That headlight restoration service is about $200+ here in SoCal, 10 year warranty.

I've lost count of the amount of times people ask me for a discount when I quote them (just a couple of hundred) to restore their headlights that are worth THOUSANDS of pounds haha! Sometimes, I agreed to their price but on the proviso that if they're happy with my work (I only have over 140 5 star Google reviews 🤔) they pay me what I asked for. Many times they can't believe what I've done and they pay me more at the end 🤭 Keep doing what we do 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

So. 1 product does not work alone, as you need 6 or 7 types of Headlight Polishes and Compounds. Makes for an expensive project, then the tools. Use a sheet of emery cloth, vegetable oil & never use WD-40, and white toothpaste not gel. works just as good. Do not apply heavy pressure, keep it light and consistent. No power tools are required. Plus rinse and clean with water, dry with a microfiber towel. Then wax and polish it up like a Pro. Some people have done Clay Barring or use a Decontamination Towel which has been done on Windshields.

My question is: My head lights aren't that "damaged" but they are starting to show a tiny bit of "fogginess", about as clear as the polish stage in your videos. Almost unnoticeable but is there a "half way" process to bring them to crystal clear!

I can tell you one thing for certain. If you park outside and use the Meguiars headlight coating then you'll be extremely lucky to get a year out of it before your headlights are worse than before. This stuff is honestly complete junk. The sun eats it up quickly and bugs will totally discolor it and it won't buff out. I've tried it all and the only long term method for a daily driven car that gets parked outside is a true automotive grade clear coat with hardener added. Sure, the Meguiars headlight coating looks great at first until the UV, bugs and road debris destroys it.

I have just started watching your videos from yesterday & till now I've watched several videos 🎬🍿 😄 Been making my NOTEs as well, I've a few questions if you can plz answer them, 1. Can we use IPA Solution to clean headlights right before starting & ending the sanding process? IPA Solution: 28oz Distilled Water + 4oz 99% IPA Reference (Pan the Organizer), that's what I've been using when doing my paint corrections etc. ▓▒░ 𝗣.𝗦. ░▒▓: We don't have HOPES Perfect Glass available where I live 2. Can I use DA polisher instead of the drill? What RPMs for Sanding & Polishing should be used? 3. Can we use Meguiars microfiber cutting pad over 3M Finesse-It Orange Foam Pad, its not available here , where I live, so I'll have to order that's why am asking or u can suggest something else🥲 4. What if we use a ceramic coating lets say from NANOLEX, or we should only use, what u're using Meguiars Headlight Coating only....? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 𝚃𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙺𝚂 𝚒𝚗 𝙰𝚍𝚟𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
