    Everytime Ive heard "advanced beginner" it's usually meant to describe an adult who doesn't have good technique, but is athletic and coordinated enough to beat the rec players that only play half a set a week. Heck, most "advanced beginners" cant slice and have a pancake serve.

    Lol, Im a 58 year old 4.0 player, and male. Just watched this video and seen that he said the gravity S is for a woman. I put a leather grip on mine and added 2 grams at 3@9 and have a really good doubles stick. Sweet spot is huge and racquet is very fast. The added weight gives it the stability against big hitters. The racquet is not overpowered, you still have to make good contact to really drive the ball on groundstrokes,volleys or overheads. But, their is a bigger margin for error on mishits because the sweetspot is BIG. I am not slight, so I am able to generate my own power, but because of the low flex, I can still take a full cut at the ball without fear of it hitting the top of the fence. All in all, a good players frame for the doubles player especially. And woman too :-)

    42 year old 4.5 player here. I was moving on from my Volkl v-sense 8, 315g, I demo'ed the Gravity MP Lite. Liked it a lot. Felt great for on my elbow and wrist. But then I got stuck and not sure if the regular MP would be better which I didn't get to demo. Facing choice paralysis syndrome, I opted for what I'm familiar with, which is Volkl v-feel 8 but lighter at 285g.

    The pro swings heavier than you stated, perhaps not your racquet on hand. Lots of talk around the net of poor quality control (far from unusual) & huge variations in SW. I think it is ~335 I can't recall Zverev's exact pro stock model, but obviously it's not this! I had huge discussion with the Head rep when I told him not a single pro uses Head racquet with graphene, it can't be such a great technology of nobody likes it. He tried to tell me...yeah sure...Alexander. 😂 So, fact still remains no pro player sponsored by Head uses any of their frames with graphene!!! I liked the Pro, it really was rock solid in stock....just think at 98square" it would have been a winner, tiny bit clunky as is. My demo was just strung with Tour Bite @55lbs. Much tighter than I'd have it, but there was no hint of stiffness/harshness at all. Best Head line in years. Another good review!!!👍 🎾🎾

  • @LarzB
    @LarzB4 жыл бұрын

    I actually have a gravity MP Lite (adapted) in my racket bag next to 2 Clash 100 and 1 clash 100 tour. I say adapted as the MP Lite is a very nice frame as a base to customize yourself with 20 grams of playing room if you want to end up with a 300 gram unstrung racket. What I have done is add mostly weight in the handle and the weight and balance is now almost exact the same as the Clash 100. If you put the Gravity Mp Lite and the Clash 100 against each other you see that they have the exact same head shape. Strings wise the mains are practically in the same spot (and 16 strings), The Crosses is where the MP Lite is denser, 20 strings and also closer together. The gravity with the thinner beam also gives less power. So my adapted MP Lite has little bit more control and less power than the clash 100. So on days I am not feeling it with the clash, I sometimes mix it up and change to the gravity. I am kind of a racket nut job as I also have 2 yonex ezone rackets (the 98 from last year and the 100 from this year). Going to try those out as well when we are allowed to play tennis again. Some second hand barely used, other ones new in good deals my 6 rackets (3 clash, 1 gravity, 2 ezone) costed me 600 euro's in total (excluding stringing)

    Just like you, I am also a bit of a racket nerd; and just like you I too have the gravity MP Lite and Clash 100. I have also customized the gravity MP Lite with lead tape- added 6 grams to the hoop and 8 grams to the handle. Personally speaking, I prefer the thinner beam of the gravity as compared to the thicker, clumsier beam of the Clash. It just feels nicer to hold a racket with a thinner beam.

  • @LarzB

    @LarzB

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@captaindiabetes4244 which yonex do you refer to? As you are comparing a whole brand to one line in head. I have experience with the ezone 100 (2020) and ezone 98 (2019) and am currently trying the vcore pro 97 310 (tonight i have my first hitting session with it) The ezone feels more solid and stable and gives more power. (The ezone 100 even more, but also the ezone 98) this is due to the stiffer and wider beam. The gravity gives more feel and control, especially with volleys. I personally find it easier to reach the right Dept on my strokes with the gravity, whether it is a dropp volley or a penetrating deep shot or high spin ball. But the gravity is a stick to get used to. The ezone feels good from the first moment. The gravity has to grow on you, which takes longer but will eventually pass the ezone (at least by me). With the ezone it started fantastic and after time i start to feel certain limitations (more limitations with the ezone 100, the ezone 98 is also a great stick) So the ezone is easier to handle and the gravity you need to know better what you are doing and requires a bit extra work from you, but then also rewards you for it double. So my pick is the gravity over the ezone. There is one application when i prefer the ezone 100, and that is in wet conditions (wet balls, wet surface) the extra power of the ezone 100 comes in very handy with wet heavy tennis balls
