"and if we stick together, who knows what WE'LL do" This song is pretty disturbing and showing how people now are dpenedant on the internet especailly the "ipad babies" who grew up now. I get chills everytime he does the laugh!

Yea that laugh 👀 Bo is a hard reaction for me I’ve realized. There’s so many layers to everything he does that it takes me multiple listens to really grasp it and take it all in. Love every second of it tho!

I also like that it's "who KNOWS what we'll do" and not something like "there's nothing we can't do". It's OMINOUS, not encouraging.
"it did all the things we designed it to do" is perhaps the most disturbing line of all time

For me it's "It was always the plan to put the world in your hand." Followed by maniacal evil laughter. The world might be in our hands, but we're constantly distracted by trivial nonsense, so we don't do anything with it.

Especially when followed by “NOW look at you.” A villain whose plan has already worked and they can tell you now because there’s nothing you can do about it. Also, “oh honey, how you grew” is so fucking creepy if you think about it for a minute. The character is saying “I watched you grow up. Your parents posted every detail of your lives online until you were old enough to do it yourself, and I’ve been watching you this whole time.”
This is as close to a real life Disney villan song as we will see, great reaction

Except they are singing after they have already won.
5:33 yo look at his face here. i think he got it in that moment. like they were both laughing the whole time, which is fair because he puts in a lot of work to try to make you laugh with this one, even if it's only out of shock or nervousness. but i think he realized how sinister the message was right there.

It goes from zero to what the FUCK real fast but sadly it's sooooooooo true.
This is like the song of a Disney Villain - where the Villain WON. And I was like 😮 because it’s right, the Internet DID win, technology was designed to train us to be addicted to the Internet and technology from such a young age. And even with that realization, the mind control is so deep, we couldn’t walk away even if we tried to and wanted to. And the scary thing is - we DON’T want to.

Yes it's comedy but it's also very deep. I think Bo wrote it not to only make us laugh but to say something serious that shouldn't fly over our heads as mere comedy.

I agree with your title. This man is quite literally a genius.
I'm glad you guys liked this and found reasons to be happy but ngl, that fact that y'all were giggling and smiling about this one creeped me out more than the song
I like how they don't pause it too much and just listen to it like I did.
I love this song and have been obsessed with it from the first listen, but I never found a second of it funny. You can see that sinister laugh coming very early on.
If there’s people that don’t know the meaning to this certain song, let me explain. It means how the internet has its innocent sides but can lead to dangerous and dark sides. The internet is making u get into it saying that ‘boredom is a crime’ which means ur not allowed to be bored so go on the internet and don’t get bored. Saying internet is good but secretly dangerous and turns very very bad.

The Big Bang of the internet in visual form is so dope!
Despite some icky comments here and there I love your sort of giddy reaction to the more serious segment! I could tell it was most towards the performance rather than lyrics anyways, idk why people were so mad! People watch reactions for reactions, not reflections of ones o w n reaction lmao. Great stuff :)

Man, its partly because of the nature of reacting to something out of context, but when you said "Bo please go on tour again" I was like internally screaming lol just because I've seen the rest of the special
Very good reaction guys :) I had a fun time watching the video
I'm 2 years late to the reaction, but hearing "hey, I'm Cody, and this is my beautiful wife:" and then not hearing Briiiiiidgeeeet was jarring. Anyway, I still love this special. It perfectly captured my isolation during the pando. It captures that old Bo we knew, but also has that creeping dread of the anxiety he feels about the state of the world, which was ever-present at that time. He's such a great creative, and I hope he continues.
Idk who edits for you but honestly, well f*!4ing done, as your censor bars go. Gotta get that money going. But nah honestly, Impressive and interactive, definitely subbed.
Fun reaction! I like your reference to a Disney Villain. That was spot on.
I’ll never get how people listen til the end and then laugh? It’s the most depressing dystopian reflection of our reality I’ve ever seen.
You guys are becoming my favorites:) keep keep it real. :)
“Unstoppable- Watchable” that always gives me shivers
It turned the internet into a Disney villain. You’re so right and he honestly should be a Disney villain.
This is just a musical villain song and I love it
This song scares the pants off of me.
The thing is he absolutely nailed it about the internet. Did he lie? About anything? Or did he tell the absolute truth, but season it with comedy? He was blunt AF & slapped you with a wet fish doing it.
"Disney villain" the word I've been looking for
Your wife is adorable, that laugh:")
Love this song.
the evil laugh is chilling to me
And now you listen to Disturbeds cover od "Sound of Silence" and you have a complete package... But make sure to listen to the live show at Conan. Even if David Dreiman had the flue whit high fever that day
I know no one is doing it as a vote but I seriously vote that this becomes an animated cartoon with Bo Burnham playing the evil internet created by man original name for Good intentions lol kind of like what if the internet was a person have it play out like Coraline as in opens the door to this otherworldly dimension the realm of the internet
this poor 2000 kids have no idea what they have been cursed to grow up and become
Positive comment for a creator that I love to help them with the stupid KZread algorithm

That’s why a good amount of people are upset we laughed watching this, because everything he’s saying is the dark truth. But to me, Bo makes things for people to laugh at, and then it leaves you really thinking.
Ok it's true everything he just said on this is what I see on the internet
2:57 Looks like the guy's is dying
If youve ever wanted to experience the internet as it is, youll see a thousand nations toppled, a million men skinned, torture, forcible relations, as the human world dissolves with crushed skulls, lives lost on cam, blood absorbed into arid ground, hell, the fucked up thing is ive seen the postmortem picks of chester bennington or robin williams. The internet was always awful. I have saved pics of things that are incomprehensible. Only reason I saved half the things I have is due to fanhood. I grew up with an internet unafraid of anyone. no cancellation ever. the internet is filled with the horrors of boredom even today, you wanna see the underside of an american (severed) plowed by a ugandan man who found the half? its just there. the internet is horror and ive been on it since i was 5. so what- 2002?
This song hit different tho

Why’s the video playing Bo so blurry
Man I feel sorry for you if you do something embarrassing. Her laugh is great but I bet it could go evil😂😂. My wife cackles when I mess up. And if I laugh crazy with her, she insta-pees😂😂
Homie on the left actually felt some of the lyrics. Not much going on up there with sis on the right, If there was; she masked it by trying to act as a personality instead of Hearing the words. Just absolutely zero. Shame.

True. We were very giddy to see Bo after many years and expecting we never would again in a form like this. We’ve acknowledged it in other comments, but also don’t really apologize for experiencing something brand new to us for the first time in a way we wanted to. The message isn’t lost. Laughter is also natural response to more situations than just pure comedy or something being funny. People also use laughter as a defense mechanism etc. Don't be so judgmental of people's natural reaction to a comedian's song they saw out of the context of the special.
Screen is blurry
Sad...Please.
These 2 are Clueless.
i do not understand, because no one has yet to explain it to me, why some of you reactors blur, skew, destroy the video that your reacting to, when literally 100s of other people react to it unedited...can you please clarify with me, what possessed you to blur the ever loving hell out of the video? I do not know how youtube works apparently. and i know, "if i wanna watch it unedited i can just watch the original" but see, we are here to react to what you are watching and its kinda hard (and or annoying) to react to what your watching when what WE see is a blurry pile of crud. (mostly aggressive for humorous purposes, but i sincerely want to know)

Sorry you feel that way. We’re fans of bo, have been more than 10 years, to the point that we’re finally getting to see this and we’re extra giddy. It’s a first time watching, taking in the performance much more than the lyrics (although they’re easy to process) and find everything about his calculated performance to be funny-even simple lighting changes because he’s doing it all by himself, I love it. That’s why I label it a reaction not an analysis or breakdown, because we’re just purely watching and enjoying. We’re very new on KZread so maybe over time that will change and I’ll be more in an interpreting type of mind set, regardless thank you for watching and your input!
