Just wanted to let you know Bo Burnham does all his lights and camera work on his own even on stage he would have foot petals that would control the lights he's pretty incredible.

"OMG I love this guy. I love this guy." As a new Bo fan and a beginner guitarist, I relate to this reaction on so many levels. It was heartwarming to see someone appreciate all the musical aspects of this performance - everyone seems to focus on the lyrics (which are insanely accurate, good and horrifying at the same time). I've been binge-watcing his performances for a week or two, and I truly think he could do amazingly well "just" as a musician. He understand the rules and knows how to break them. He's a gem of an artist. I absolutely adore him. Do "the country song" (aka pandering)!!!!

It's really great to get the commentary on the musicality of the piece, because music is such a huge part of Bo's repertoire, but it's obviously not something that the layperson can comment on with this kind of depth. Shifting from a carnival vibe to a bluesy/jazzy tone and then back again is a really neat journey to take in a song.

Going over the lyrics really draws out how ominous the middle part is. Bo is gentle and sing-songy but his words are screaming "it's a trap!" "We set our sights, and spent our nights, waiting for you" "It did all the things we designed it to do" "It was always the plan, to put the world in your hand" Then he yanks away the gentleness and it's just: buckle up, this train ain't stopping.

One of my favorite parts of the video, is the way that the character’s sunglasses transition in their nature. They go from kind of absurdly funny, to a blank void that’s trying to absorb all that you are, as he triumphantly laughs at the fact that you’ve already lost.

Watching this three years after you uploaded it and man it still hits the same, I love watching folks, ESPECIALLY musically inclined people, watch Bo's stuff.

Touring around reactions to this piece, clicked on yours, and... I gotta say, I have no interest in learning guitar, so this isn't my channel, but I wish I did, cuz you are tremendously appealing. You were catching all that Bo, AND breaking it down, AND translating it into a lesson, simultaneously? I'm intrigued by what you do, and you do it with such personality. Very nice.

At 2.50 I almost lost it, I would happily watch an entire hour of you dissect the theory behind this :)

This is my first of your videos to watch. I am subscribed. I'm a vocalist, not an instrumentalist, but I'm very interested in looking at the musical creativity of this guy. I like the fact that you were able to discern all this music theory, while you were reacting to the brilliance of the lyrics and the mood and the editing..... I don't think we've had a talent like this since Tim Minchin. I will be back!

This may just because I'm a music guy, but this is my favorite reaction to this song on KZread. I'm able to geek out over all the music theory you're throwing out there while also feeling out on Bo. You're right, this song is so well thought out and put together. It's a damn modern day masterpiece.

I haven't listened to this guy in about 10 years -- thanks for putting him back on my radar!

I used to love bringing music to my guitar teacher that he never heard, and see his reaction exactly like yours. The gears start turning right away and you are able to make sense of even what this methodical madman put together. The sign of a great teacher. Bo Burnham is an insanely rare talent that people tend to look over.

I love watching you fall in love with Bo. As a Bo fan who's not a musician I loved seeing the appreciation for his musical ability from one! Great job man, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS ENTIRE INSIDE SPECIAL!

Watching you fall in love with Bo is amazing. Highly recommend you watch all the others he’s done. But honestly your reaction is just so wholesome and I love it.
