I do professional graphic design/photography (no gaming) and just did a visual test between DVI and HDMI in terms of image quality on screen, and what I see. I'm using an HP 27 VC monitor adjusted for my type of work, and GeForce GT 730 video card. Using graphic and photographic images in various programs...Photoshop, InDesign, Affinity Designer, and just standard everyday programs like Outlook, Word, Chrome/Firefox, Win Explorer, etc, I found that DVI has a slight edge in overall image quality. DVI seems to have just a bit more 'life' to what I see on screen with slightly better color saturation, contrast, and sharpness. Text stands out just slightly more in Outlook, Word, etc. Overall, HDMI just looks a bit 'flatter' on screen. But keep in mind this is on my particular system/monitor and you may see different results. I suggest experimenting with the different types of connections and decide which is best suited for your particular needs, including your eyes and what you see on screen.

You will need an HDMI to DVI converter to be able to do that.

@@xenzie-yt8979 it's 2022 GPUs from AMD and Nvidia no longer use DVI any ways. HDMI or display port are the way to go. If you also want to run 1440p, 4k or higher that's what you need.

Each one has a specific purpose of use. HDMI is quite standard nowadays while DisplayPort also has some perks of its own. DVI is quite rare these days and is only applicable for older monitors.
