Now in 720p HD - Montana Rail Link's Day Gas Local powers up the grade around O'Keefe Creek just north of DeSmet, MT on MRL's 10th Sub. Three rebuilt MRL SD45s (MRL 355, 331, and 382) power the May 26, 2009 train just before sunrise.

All that track curvature can't be helping much, for power absorption and flange wear. Looks like a good candidate for flange lubricators.

See all that fog and mist? That's why in love on the east side of the Continental Divide in Helena, and not in Missoula.
