At 66 years old, I can honestly say that I am fortunate to have lived during the entire Mark Knopfler era. From the jumping, bouncing exciting man on stage to the calm reserve attained by any great artist over their years of performing, the minute the first note plays, you know it is Mr Knopfler. He is one of the top 3 ever! Thank you Sir!

A timeless legend; class, talent, humility and inspiration. That's Mark Knopfler.

I nearly died in car crash 4 months ago. Spent months in the hospital. Had to determine my last rites. Specified Mark Knopfler tunes to be played during any ceremony. Tunes included Going Home and many more. Mark Knopfler has been an inspiration in playing guitar and also creating my own songs. He is an angel to me!!!

I think he's the best he's ever been. Saw him in 2019 at Wolftrap, DC - and he had me from the opening note until the very last one. Every song was captivating and new, even the old ones! : ) Dire Straits were fantastic, but now he's more in a class with DaVinci, Shakespeare, Beethoven. The most amazing artist ever (God excluded, of course!)

How lucky these people are in the concert. This is one of the few concerts where they have played at same speed and sound as the original records. The musicians are just amazing and the quality of sound is just incredible!! You can see the quality of music here, no egos, and no old men pretending to be young, just pure talent that sounds amazing! thank you Mark and friends !!!!

Fortunate are those all who are present there

Mark has a mystic way of creating and blending sounds and hitting notes that go direct to our emotions. He paints pictures with his music and his guitar sings more powerfully than vocalists could hope to achieve. Yet his lyrics are pure poetry that creates moods and imagery evoking our past, and a hope for our future. He is more than a highly talented guitarist, he's a highly excelled artist we're lucky to have experienced.

Who cannot love this man? The music is magical and magnificent. It's so admirable to witness him aging naturally with so much grace in life and artistry. A light and inspiration.

Mark Knopfler is the most gracious and accommodating artist. I love him so much.

I chanced upon Mark and Dire Straits in 1986 and it is history since then. God bless lovers of good music.

Me and a group of 6 friends left Brazil and we had the honor of watching Mark Knopfler in Dublin at 3Arena, in May 2019, unforgettable!

Always hurtful when your heroes get old. Love his music. My first concert was in Brussels in 1983 , I think, and I was mesmerised by Sultans of Swing. Like so many others here, I believe Knofler is one of the greatest and brightest guitarists ever.

He and his music have aged well. But yes, I agree that I get sentimental when listening to many of his beautifully written pieces and realize how time waits for no one. Just glad that we have KZread where we can experience our favorites whenever, and experience something new each time.

I am 70 years old, in 1976 I was playing with my band in the city of Livorno (the Tuscan native city of the painter Amedeo Modigliani) and many friends and fans told me about a certain Mark Knopfler who played the Fender Stratocaster in exactly the same style as me. , "fingerpicking". I was intrigued, so after inquiring I purchased Bob Dylan's famous album "Slow Train Coming" in which Mark appeared as the first lead guitarist. Obviously I was thrilled and from that day I have always followed our dear Mark in all his performances. F.

Mark Knopfler is sometimes called "the quiet man of rock'n'roll" and that is for a good reason. Just listen and enjoy...

My one criticism - you have to be there. Heard him in the worst stadium, concrete, facing walls, the whole audio hell of a place and they sounded like soft butter. Every note from every instrument in perfect balance, like a studio album. That’s when you know just how brilliant they are. Nowhere to hide, everyone in perfect harmony. What a band.

Flew out of City airport to Milan for three days and to go to this concert, which was on my 68th birthday. What a very special night. I have every piece of music he has performed, there is no other artist like him, never will be. Absolute legend.

.I was 16 whenI bought the first album cassette tape of dire straits.which include.,once upon in the west....of course the iconic sultans.. I'm 65 now and the songs of Mark had been journeying with me till present.2022. His music is simply eargasm to me ...ohh the telegraph road.,.. best on the road even I got no car...hehehe. Mark love songs are gorgeous: Romeo and Juliet.Are we in trouble now... .I put to sleep my 3year old niece to the tune of the tunnel of love...and there she goes- asleep. I'm from the Philippines and the MARCOSES should listen to Mark's Imelda baby.and be very ashamed,.but not in this unfortunate country of mine., Keep singing mark and the band..Salute

that an incredibly brilliant, gracious man who remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time. a joy to watch him. as someone now 77, who's been listening to his music for 40 years & who also used to hitch hike, i think the world of this guy, & hope to meet him someday. no nukes!!!
