I live in Hattiesburg and have been to this so many times since I was a kid, when it was Kamper Park and Zoo. It's small and usually too crowded for the space inside. The parking is ridiculously too small also.. Now they're adding a waterpark and hopefully more parking.

I try to arrive early when I go to a zoo, it's typically less crowded than. I do agree they need more parking.

Great tour and video, Tom! (Sorry I haven’t been commenting on your recent videos. There’s not really a reason for that. 😬 But don’t worry. I haven’t left the channel!) This looks like a very nice zoo, especially for it’s size!! Some of the habitats looked very natural-like also. looked really nice!! My favorite animals were the blue-and-gold macaw, and the Bennett’s wallaby.

Hey Tom! Great video! Really enjoyed this one. Not a huge Zoo, but a nice variety of animals. Really nice habitats in this Zoo, seems that they take pride in that and think that it`s important, and it really is Tom! Great Zoo Tom, you showcased it very well, as per usual Tom, you seem to have a knack for that. I`ve got quite a few time stamps for you today Tom: 1:10: The bigger gopher tortoise in the front and the smaller box turtle near the back. 5:15: I`m telling you Tom, it`s not a Tom`s Road Trippin Zoo Tour without Zebra butts, assuming the Zoo in question has zebras. 11:35: Sounds like you gave him/her a right old scare, Tom lol. 13:16: Very majestic birds, was there signage that you saw with maybe just their name on it, not really worth showing? Love me some flamingos. 14:14: The bird in the back is the same kind of bird as the talking bird with a whole lot of personality at my COOP, her name is Sassy, 13 years old and basically a mascot for the store, she and 1 other bird (Baby Blue, blue Quaker parrot) are not for sale. 16:06: I`m glad to see that the tiger has a good amount of water, tigers are one of the few big cats who enjoy being in the water, even hunting in the water in the wild, you`ve seen tigers swimming in available water before at other facilities, Tom. 17:25: That`s a long migration, according to the signage! 19:20: These are some good sized alligators. I wonder if there are any more in the enclosure, underneath all of the algae, or hiding in the foliage, perhaps... 20:02: That is one banged up pickup truck, that is. 20:30: KuneKune is actually pronounced cooney-cooney for future reference, Tom :)! 21:10: He`s so cute, Tom! Cuteness overload!! 23:00: Thse two are Chinese Geese, Tom! Showing off my knowledge of animals again haha! I find it hilarious that one of them almost fell over while walking onto the path LOL! 23:26: It`s actually CHA-CO--AN Tom! You got the second part right though. I find it so cool that we thought this species was extinct for decades and essentially, it came back from extinction! 24:00: Black jaguars are so cool looking! The Toronto Zoo has one, unless he`s moved on to another Zoo since i was last there in 2014, he was beautiful though. He has a name but i can`t remember it for the life of me. They also have a normal coloured jaguar. 24:28: The black one is a mature male, the blonde one is either a female or an immature male, hope this helps Tom. It`s called sexual dimorphism, i trust you know what that is. 25:02: Beautiful birds, possibly my favourite macaw species. Another KZread Channel that i`m subscribed to, Snake Discovery, i keep bugging you to visit their facility lol, has a blue and gold macaw named Cheyenne, she`s very cute and has quite the personality, let`s just say that. 26:07: Assuming that the tapir can come over here if it wishes to, tapirs are excellent swimmers and spend large portions of their day in water so i`m glad that there`s lots of water around if it wants to go swimming... 28:04: Yeah, the unicorn chair is quite an adorable touch, Tom. 31:06: Zebra butt patterns Tom, should be of interest to you LOL!! 31:20: These are Zebu, Tom. 33:16: I found out what kind of giraffe this is after doing some research online Tom, matching the scientific name to the common name and it`s the Nubian Giraffe. 38:04: I have one of these guys as a pet Tom! I`v e had him since i was 5 years old, he`s 12 years old now, he was just a little baby when i got him. And 5 year old me named him Long-Tail, very creative, i know lol, i call him LT for short. We watch TV for hours on end together, including your videos Tom, he will just sit on my shoulder and not move until i put him back in his enclosure. That`s it for me Tom, looking forward to your reply, i hope you`re well, your well being is important to me. Take care buddy.

I was pleasantly surprised with this zoo, it was really well done. I can tell by the way the zoo is taken care of the community invests in this place. Those Zebra must hear about me and make sure to give me the hind end solute, never fails. I try not to scare the animals, but sometimes my camera freaks them out. Thanks for the correction with the KuneKune Pigs, first time I've seen them before. I'm glad you enjoyed my tour, I had a lot of fun exploring this zoo. I appreciate you sharing the little tidbits of info on the animals I encountered.

@@TomsRoadTrippin Yeah man, this was an amazing Zoo! Yeah, the zebras always know when Tom is touring the Zoo! Yeah, some animals are easily frightened by nature, your camera would be a bit scary to them at first glance. Actually Tom, you have seen KuneKune Pigs before, but only 3 or 4 times not counting this time, so yeah, you might`ve not remembered. Of course Tom, i know quite a bit about animals, i love sharing that knowledge! And you seem to love hearing more about the animals!

Nice collection of animals, but it seems that some of the habitats need to be bigger and resemble their actual environments.
