The odd thing is that Harry seemed pretty docile with it when he had it for a while. But as soon as it attached itself to Peter, it started getting stronger and more ravenous. And even affected the wearers personality.

My theory is that the symbiote is feeding from bad emotions. Harry was living a pretty good and carefree life (until he became ill) and he's only lost his mother. Peter on the other hand has lived a way more tragic life either as Peter losing both his parents, Uncle Ben and Aunt May and as Spider-Man he's seen so much pain in the world plus there are people that keep on hating on Spider-Man like JJJ. After Peter "betrayed" it, it had already become a mass full of hatred so that's why it changed so much.

I think this was explained somewhere. Iirc Venom absorbed all the repressed negative emotions Peter held back that eventually turns it into the monster we know and love. Don't know how much of this is correct but I'm guessing that was the gist of it.

This and the fact that it was heavily implied that dr.connors cleared the symbiote's mind to be more acceptable of harry. Entering in contact with the meteorite reminded venom it's true purpose: to conquer.

Its because it read harry's memories and saw peter as a target it merely used harry to get close enough to possess peter much like a virus its effect often will stay hidden till it awakens at the right moment.

I love how Harry's original Venom suit is Flash Thompson's Agent Venom suit.

It's fascinating how the symbiote even mimics Peter's suit a little when on Harry as Agent Venom (especially the chest symbol). It's as if the symbiote is a girl so desperate for her crush Peter to notice her that she changes her appearance to look more attractive to him.

The way I looked at things is the symbiote is hyper-adaptive, Harry wanted to be his spider buddy he became one, Harry wanted to save him it did, Peter had pressure just like Miles to be a better Spiderman and the Symbiote exagerated those traits, making him more angry, more active. It tried to protect Peter when he was unconscious, and it’s trying to become one and sometimes takes over, I believe the symbiote was genuine when he talked for Peter to Connor that it’s helping him becoming a better spiderman, I believe what Kraven did definitely enraged the symbiote even more. In comics they explore those stuff better and I appreciate the details I mentioned seemed to have been taken in consideration from the source material :)

@@YungMiquella The symbiote probably would've been more considerate had it not encountered the artifact of Knull. That's when it started taking a more proactive approach to corrupting its host. It copying the spider symbol was most likely a partial imitation attempt as it was trying to transfer over to Peter (the superior host). I prefer Eddie Brocks version of the symbiote as it really does feel like Venom is more of an imposter that borrowed traits from Spider-man during their bond, but not perfectly enough. At a distance, you could mistake Venom for Spider-man as shown in the comics and the movie.

@@Montesama314 yeah I like Insomniacs Venom more than any other because he's broken op compared to others and he would rather still be with Peter than try to kill him over and over. I feel like that's because he's bonded with Harry and Peter so much.

2:40 Man what a throwback to the first game. Peter tried to warn Doc Ock of what would happen if he continued making a neural connection with the mechanical arms. Now he has to convince Harry that the symbiote is dangerous, lest he loses his best friend forever. You gotta feel bad for Peter at this point :(

Love the agent venom scenes. It really gives Harry a lot of active supporting character moments. Like protecting Peter and Mj by fending off Kraven.

I love how this version of venom looks exactly like the Tom hardy venom just with the spider logo

Actually no. Even if you take away his logo -- Eyes MUCH better, wider, actively changes, while Hardy have like 2 white skinny turd instead of eyes, second - Teath, the are changing if Venom roars or not, also body - he is bigger and more muscular, Hardy Venom is a little bit skinny as well

This feels like a mixture between Sam Raimi's Spider-man 3, Ultimate Spider-man, The Amazing Spider-man 2, Spider-man: The Animated Series (1994) and original comics. Some of the cutscenes literally replicate everything mentioned above. I hope in the next game Venom will return as Eddie Brock.

Bro Harry was so kind and just wanted to do the right thing. If harry had anti venom attached to his body it would have kept him alive while also still being himself and wouldn’t end up changing into venom and destroying the city and he wouldn’t have died. Its really sad and much more impactful that Harry is Venom and also the symbiote controlling Harry and Peter. The anti venom symbiote has no will so its not transferable. Its likely anti venom symbiote has not awaken its full power yet as we see peter is still learning its power and Miles power did evolve. I think in the next game Peter maybe able to save Harry once his anti venom symbiote power evolve.

@@SomethingWittyRW yes and peter chose to keep the emily may foundation and plans to start it. Tbh i think MJ, Miles, Hailey, Connors, Cindy, Gwen (If she becomes is in the dlc or 3rd game). This is mainly cause Miles, Cindy and Gwen will have an easier life and job if they work under peter since all 4 of them can go spiderheroing whenever they are needed

This version of Harry grew on me a lot.

Harry Osborn is literally my fave character in the whole Spider-Man universe from the comics, from games, from films & from cartoons. This I feel is his best adaptation so far & I'm hoping that Tom Holland's Spider-Man has a Harry in his universe. His character I feel is very underrated.

Leave it to PS Studios to create engaging stories. They never disappoints

I don’t mind the new guy voicing Harry but I do wish Scott Porter had returned to the role. His voice acting in the first game portrayed so much emotion in such a small role and his work as Heimdall showed what range he could have as the villain

I liked Scott’s harry osborn, but this new Harry actor is voice and mocap, and he done a good job on that. This guy is really like as my fav portrayal of harry, but in fairness to Scott we never got to see him actually perform as harry which is a shame and will not find outbhow he would have portrayed him as the character and not just an audio recording in the first game.

Ultimate spider man did it first, but this game did it better

People saying Peter was thrown under the bus in this and miles morales game. Its much better seeing a more vulnerable side to peter, where miles or harry are more stronger than him at times, being injured etc. and idk why some people are pissed that Kraven was overpowered and killed of some characters like do we just want a spiderman game where no other character gets focus or is pivotal to the story? And its Spiderman absolutely destroying everyone in one encounter and not taking damage, taking down Kraven like its easy mode? Some people complain about the most ridiculous stuff honestly. I loved this one, much better than the first one. I now look forward to the final game in future.

Peter got rid of the Venom symbiote but a piece of it still resided in Peter. My guess is that he can't remove the a Anti Venom symbiote since it's somewhat bonded to Peter even though it doesn't really have a mind of it's own

Both Peter and Harry likely has residue of venom symbiote but peters one changed to anti venom symbiote while harry still likely has some unless peter actually destroyed all of it which i doubt it.

biggest issue with this one is that the symbiote goes from few tentacles to full blown venom in instant, there should have been just one scene where Peters mouth opens slowly to show he is turning into monster (the rampage scene for one). now this turning into a giant buff venom feels like it comes out of nowhere
