This version of Harry was definitely one of the games biggest highlights. Instead of him being a whiny rich prick like he usually is, he's very chill and charming, and I love that he's a scientist like Peter. They really have a strong chemistry and feel like genuine best friends, plus them both being scientists is a good way of showing how they get along so well

Peter’s story arc with the symbiote is usually compared to someone developing an addiction, but honestly, so does Harry’s. When we see him after he recovers, he’s as happy and energetic as can be. And nothing deters him, kinda like someone on cloud nine. Or maybe even someone who’s high. And when he discovers how to use the suit and that Peter is Spider-Man, he becomes even more so. To the point where he willing risks his life, and he clearly enjoys it. Again, like someone who has constant highs would want to feel. When Peter gets the suit, he’s not necessarily worried at first, but then as time progresses, he becomes more paranoid and worried, and desperately trying to keep himself occupied and distracted from the suit. That reminds me of someone going through withdrawal. And especially after his fight with Peter, he barely even cares about whether or not he’s gonna die, he’s just using it to get the suit back. And when he does, he doesn’t realize what it’s done to him till he does something terrible (Killing Kraven), but by then, he’s already too deep in to get away. By the time he’s freed, he’s pretty much destroyed himself and nearly got his loved ones killed. Hell, you call his coma at the end a type of Rehab. Sorry for chewing your ear off, I just wanted to type it out while it’s still in my head.

First of all, awesome comment! Also let’s not forget that Mary Jane most likely told Harry about The suit going crazy in the middle of the night. Nearly killing her and the hunters. And yet Harry ignores that warning completely. For crying out loud he even sees that it’s affecting peters personality. Nope, Doesn’t care about the dangerous consequences.

1:25 I like how this scene mirrors one later. Where Pete is on edge about MJ’s scream until he realises it’s Harry. Then near the end of the game, we have the same characters in the same location with a completely different context to MJ’s scream.

and it outright defies "stuffed in the fridge", Venom could've EASILY gutted MJ like a fish in front of Pete just to hurt him, ironically, Peter was even pinned UNDER the fridge himself. but instead, Venom turning MJ into Scream and siccing her on her own boyfriend was so much more refreshing and a WORSE fate than death.

This is the best version of the character I've ever seen! I was really crushed when it looked like he died.

I think the symbiote sensed the darkness within Pete, and thought it would be easier to corrupt him. I’m not sure if the host’s condition is of any concern for the symbiote because it can heal its host’s body and the fact that it reached its ultimate form with Harry could indicate the condition of its host doesn’t have any effect on the symbiote. You could argue that the symbiote became more powerful with Pete and reached its ultimate level because of how strong Pete is. My point is that the symbiote could have reached its peak with anyone, regardless of their condition. Pete is more powerful than the average human and has darkness which intrigued it.

I am really impressed with Harry in this game, normally a rich person would douse themselves in drugs, alcohol, and other pleasures to distract themselves after losing their mother but instead he devoted his life to making sure that no one else suffers the same fate as his mother.

If you pay attention closely, you’ll notice Harry is really the main character of the last 2 games (not the Mike’s game obviously). Harry being sick is the reason GR-27/ devils breath was created. And now this game with venom.

Technically, GR-27 a.k.a Devil's Breath was initially created to help cure Emily's disease back in the 1980s, but yeah, Norman Osborn continued the research when he found out his son was diagnosed with the same disease as she did, so your statement of Harry being the main focal point of the first game is still correct.

plus Norman focused on Devil's Breath in the first game because he knew that Venom was just a STALL, it doesn't actually CURE Harry of his Oshtaron Syndrome, but only holds it back so long as it's bonded to Harry. sort of like Darth Vader's suit, if it ever came off he'll die. Devil's breath was meant to permanently cure Harry so that he wouldn't need Venom as a crutch. if you think about it, the symbiote is metaphorically a crutch no different from the cane that Harry hobbles around with late in the game which Harry clearly despises as a symbol of his weakness and failing body@@michaelmorningstar7933

I’m surprised they included Venom being able to grow wings, but then again, its a fairly recent addition to comic lore that symbiotes can sprout wings instead of just tendrils and weapons.

My favorite Harry Osborn in a video game movie he reminds me of some of it in Amazing Spider-Man 2 because Peter didn’t want the symbiote to latch on to him when he got it off. Also the Symbiote arc was one of my favorites along with Spectacular Spider-Man

I don’t know if insomniac did it on purpose or if it was unintentional but I feel like even though Venom took over Harry, Harry still had more control of his own and the symbiotes mind. Now people would be like obviously because Harry as Venom addresses Spider-Man as Peter/Pete but it could be Venom trying to manipulate Pete into thinking it’s Harry and that Pete can trust Venom. The reason why I think Harry had more control over the Symbiotes hold is because Venom never revealed Spider-Mans identity to anyone, even when he was connected to everyone in the city through the Meteorite. Physically, Venom overpowered Harry. But mentally…Harry overpowered Venom.

Knife was probably poisoned, possibly with Scorpion's brew. I assume Peter's suit has a layer of non-Newtonion fluid between the layers that hardens of impact but is liquid otherwise. Extremely flexible and light, but absolutely useless against a blade.
