Just got a P43 for my man cave and your video was a good part of me buying it. Also, your video is clear evidence of the stove top convection fans working on a pellet stove. Ordered as well!

Thank you very much and thanks watching. The top doesn’t get super hot like a traditional wood stove but definitely hot enough to run the eco fan. I am eventually going to extend the hopper on mine for the convenience of not needing run to the shop first thing to refill or if I need a little warm temperature for glue ups of epoxy.

We have the accentra harman pellet stove. It heated the 2200 Sq ft house great. As we remodeled and replace insulation and windows. We had to keep turning the stove down. 1st couples yrs we left it on 3 to 4. Last couple we keep it at 2. And only run it the coldest 3 months of the yr here in northern ohio

Thanks for the review. Can you tell me how much pellets these things use. I know it varies a lot so just a ball park. Thanks

Your welcome and thanks for watching. During the winter I will use around a bag to bag and half a day, that’s for 24hrs.

Does the 3” exhaust pipe run all the way through that 6” stove pipe? Or does it just connect there and uses the regular chimney for the rest of the way? I am taking out a wood burning stove and putting in a pellet stove myself. Looking to save on installation costs. Thanks!

Thanks for watching. Just to the stove pipe, I got an insert from my stove dealer that goes inside that triple wall pipe. Your welcome

Nice setup , what do you do with all your wood scraps? I just installed a magnum countryside pellet/wood stove.

Thank you. When I had the wood stove in there I would burn them, as long as it didn’t have stain, paint, or glue I would burn it and would cut down on the how much firewood I would use. The only thing when burning soft wood is the soot build up in the chimney but I have triple piping and I would make sure to burn it wide open for a while to make sure it all got burnt up. How is that working for you?

Have you had any problems with the stove pipe reverse drawing in cold air when the stove is cold on a cold day? Had that problem with a wood stove in my old house.

Can’t say that I have even though there have been a couple times when the stove was out when I got to the shop in the morning because of it having a smaller hopper, but I didn’t have any trouble starting it. I couldn’t feel a draft coming in either when relighting the stove. I have with a regular wood stove before though, it wasn’t a lot but you could feel the cold air. Thanks for watching.

Sorry if I missed it in the video but about how long does a full hopper last you?

Around 24hrs if I leave it so the room temp is around 65-67, the floors of the shop aren’t insulated either so it probably would be efficient if they were. Thanks for watching.

Yw, I thought getting a hopper extension just it would last longer between fills.

@@blacklaboutdoors7285 yeah we are looking into one for my grandparents. They use a wood stove to heat their house and it’s getting harder on my grandpa to get wood. We all try to help but it’s getting harder as we all get older and busier. We are thinking of trying one of these to make it easier on them. We could all pitch in to buy them pellets way easier than finding time to go cut wood.
