Beautiful little bar hopper bro...love it.
This is THE most beautiful Street Bob I've ever seen. Furthermore, it's filmed in Korea! :)

+Dave Yong Jung Thanks man! I used to live in Korea for 11 years. Great place. Only very good memories!GreetsMike
Thanks sammspeed for the quick reply, your street bob is seriously awesome, I like the chrome wheels with the denim paint, the rear guard, the bars, the headlight, the slammed look and the taller front wheel. You have done a great job. My favorite street bob on youtube :)
Man that is a great looking Street Bob!!
Best street bob I have ever seen, no joke!
Great looking bike!!
Incredible ride. Very impressive.
that's a badass bob, it is pritty much perfect
beautiful bike man
No front fender and no windshield LOL. I actually brought my 2007 Dyna in to the shop to get fork seals replaced, they said my front fender was so dangerous they couldn't put it back on. And that was right before a long 9 hour ride with hundreds of bikers. I actually hit some rain and drove in the rain for about an hour and a half. Riding in the rain with no windshield and no front fender is like some kind of a sick joke, the water and mud from the front wheel will hit you right in the helmet to where you have to wipe off the mud from your visor every 15 seconds, it's scary as heck. Makes the bike look cool but don't drive it in the rain. And avoid sand and gravel too, the front wheel will pick it up and sand blast not only your helmet but the headlight and front of the engine. I tried a bandanna on the fork above the tire, that helps a bit but not much. When I got home I welded up my old fender and put it back on the bike LOL.

@ Chris - windshields are for pussy’s and do not belong on a Street Bob 😜 I follow your argument in regard to the fender. On longer rides I put it on, but hopping around downtown, I prefer without Ride safe Mike
That is a beautiful bike.
Beautiful machine ☺
Hi Rigsey, Thanks :-) I got exactly those 14" and they go without any problem with the standard cables. The only possible adjustment you might have to do: make sure that the fork tubes are not peeping too much out of the upper triple tree, than the fat bar will touch them. However that is an easy job to lower them a tiny bit. Greets Mike
loving the rear shocks you have on it as well as the chopped rear fender... im looking into getting a chopped rear fender as well.. nice bike all around.
@Anmp5sits: Thanks! They are from KODLIN (Germany) called Fat Bar Medium. They come in "tall" as well. With Medium you can keep all cables. Greets, Mike
That's a slick ride.

this is the best Street Bob on YT. You should write all the modifications of your HD in the info area of the video.
@Mad flavor, as mentioned in the text above: that is the original fender, just shortened and lowered by re-drilling the holes about 25mm higher. Further the rear is lowered by shorter shocks (progressive suspension) Greets Mike
Hi sammspeed your rims look great and I would like to change my front wheel to a taller one, but that will be a bit later on. I am still being told by suppliers that I will need a cable kit with fred kodlin bars when changing them out on a street bob, regardless of the size. Thanks for all your help, stay rubber side up :)
Beautiful bike, hope it’s running well for ya or someone else, such a clean looking machine

Thanks bro. Bike is still with me and running still strong 😎
Good eye :-) I have tubes in both wheels. Works perfect. Greets, Mike
Hi Steve, the front fork is stock, but keep in mind that the Street Bob has more beefy tubes than e.g. an 1996 FXD. Modification I did on the front is: lowering kit by 1" and the fork brace. Front wheel has 21" (120/70) which gives a different look too, Greets Mike
Hi Rigsey, thanks!! Avtually the rims are out of stainless steel. Looks in real even better, since they have a special shine (better than chrome) in my opinion. Ride safe Mike
Thanks you have saved me heaps ;)
@ Park MetersTrust you noticed its a 2008 model, thus no risers, bar is mounted straight to the tripple trees. Rise is 280mm from the lowest part of the bar to the highest end of the bar. The handles ar a bit lower. It is the Kodlin "mid" bar. There is one taller one available. With my one you can keep all cables, while you need new cables for the "tall" version.GreetsMike
*IveKu Nocturni* asked me in regard to the headlight. It is not the OEM head light. It is an old BATES, which I still had somewhere in my garage. Size wise it is just between the OEM Street Bob and the Fat Boy. Greets Mike
@graz: Thanks man :-) I chopped my fender all around, so no more fixing point in front, however the 4 bolts on the struts are more than enough to fix the fender proper. Additionally to the 1" lower fender, my shocks (progressive suspension HD version) are also 1" shorter. That is for me (100Kg) perfect, however with a passenger, I believe the fender would touch the tire (18" rim with 180). I ride solo only. Greets, Mike
@ezzyt, Thanks :-) The liwering kit is from progressive suspension (drop in) very easy to install. Hight (depth) is adjustable. I went for 1". Regards, Mike
bike looks sick man.. I just put vance and hines short shots with the screamin eagle air intake on my 2005 sportster 1200c and I fucking love it
mate, that's a work of art, I'm about to sell my current ride (05 Buell xb12r) to get a street bob, and I hope you don't mind, but I'll do some mods it similar to yours. So I'll probably be asking a few questions of you in the near future. cheers, steve
Ok, thank you. Beautiful bike by the way!
@Rick Laird Thanks man. The are from KODLIN. Height is more or less the same as the original SB ape hanger. Cables can remain stock.
Thanks :-) definetely yes. The story that the new engines can't deal with lower rpm is not true. I installed a screaming eagle race tuner and the big sucker . The bike is idling at 850 perfectly. Without those modifications the ORM gas/air mixture is very lean and the engine is getting real hot while idling. So in my opinion those OEM set up could not deal with low rpm. However, 850 with my modifications is petfectly alright
Thanks :-) it's an old bates headlight which I equipped with a new H4 reflector from BOSCH. Similar style of head lights is still available today,.greets, Mike
Awesome
Thinking about getting a street bob but I also like those nasty baggers with big front wheel kit

Could you tell me the exact rim and tire size front and back?? Love them!
What did you do with the rear end? It looks great!
Really like the bike and the idea of cutting and just lowering the rear fender. Could you still use the stock seat? Greets from Germany

Hi Stefan, if you will lower the fender, the radius of the fender will not match the OEM seat anymore, so you will have a gap between seat and fender. I installed a single (HD) seat. It had springs originally, but I fixed it with rigid mounts. If you want to stick to to the original seat, you can fill the gap by hard foam and make a new seat cover. Best regards Michael (also from Germany 😎)

Danke für die schnelle Antwort. Falls du nochwas an deinem bike gemacht haben solltest oder mittlerweile ein anderes hast wäre das bestimmt ein video wert 😉
hey man, great bike, it's amazing! And great job on the rear fender! i want to do the same on my bob like to cut the fender a little more and lower it about 1", but after that, is it possible to pick up a passenger?? I mean i checked on the front of the rear fender, just behind the battery, and it's appointed on the chassis....
Nice bike, what kind of bars and what size?
sick bars
hi mike , love what you have done with the bike . well done . what brand was the kit you used for lowering the front end . Please let me know the kit number . how low did you go at the front. Thanks
Thanks man (!) good for you that you do not have to change the mapping
Love the bike! Looks awesome. Wondered if you could list what parts you have put on the bike?
Tks, yes it is a 3,5x21" rim with a 120/70 tire, greets, Mike
Richtig mächtiges Teil !
Thx Mike, we'll know doubt talk soon.
jets3377: The bike you are referring to is based on a Softtail while my/the Street Bob is Based on a Dyna. Two different concepts, however both suitable for such modifications.
great bike. can i ask where the head light is from?
Hi Ivan, thanks! Its sll mentioned in the text.
Nice Bike Sam, what size are the bars? Thanks
Hi, that is the stock dyna fender. Cut by myself and lowered it 1" at the same time, greets, Mike
From what i can see on your video, you put metzeler tires that are tubeless..what i wanna ask you is did you put tubes anyway on your spoked wheels or did you use some silicone products for tubeless application? thanx!
Omg !!!! I will dream about it!!!!!!
If i lower the fender by 1" I need to drill the fender to appoint it again on the chassis or just you appointed it on the lateral struts?? how did you resolve that problem? thanks a lot for the answer and cheers!
Very Nice!
@foutrelaThere are no risers. Are you talking about the bar (?) That is from Fred Kodlin, (medium tall, Fat) Mirror is from OMP GreetsMike
@ Peter, Thanks!!!
geiles Teil!
What kind of headlight is this?
Lowering fork only 1" ?
dont cops stop you beacuse of exhaust? and how you pass the expection that you have to do each year if the exhaust is not TUV?
How much did you lower the front end ??
Are those forward or mid controls
@B2091: Thanks man! Appreciate!GreetsMike
And what brand and type of wheel
@ RobbyIt is the rim only, Hub is OEM, fitted with a new/longer sets of spoke.Rim was purchased at www.wheelspoint.de
what bars do you have on ?
No, they are from Fred Kodlin, Germany. They are called: Bonanza, fat. My ones are medium high (same as the original hight) there are also available in "tall" For the tall ones you need to use longer cables etc.
Are those biltwell bars?
What kind of handle bars are those?
Hi, please could you give me the name of your riser (and size) and your mirror ?? Thank you
Hi mate, I'm about to get a 1996 FXD super glide and try to attempt some of the mods you done. Is the front fork / susp stock or modded ?
dressed like a superstar
what size are the handlebars buddy?
Hi, ad far ad I know 6,2 is equal to 1,8m. I'm 1,84, so a bitt smaller but not significant smaller. I guess you will be OK with a Street Bob. Anyway you have several options to find the right setting: seat, bars and pisition of the pegs. Go for it, the Street Bob is a nice bike :-)
Are you a jealous person? because i just fell in love with your bike man ... gotta be honest
Nice
If I do the tank lift, do I have to do some wireing stuff? Like on a Sportster? What do I have to do?
@sammspeed
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Romulus, my Street Bob does not have a tank lift (!) However a ‘mild’ tank lift should be possible without re-wiring etc. why you do not check how your cables are fixed. To take off the tank is not complicate. Greets Mike
@musicman: please see some post below: they are from KODLIN, Fat Bar, medium
Sure, no probs. Any time, greets Mike
Nice bike!! Is it a 21 inch front wheels?
Hi sammspeed, I know you have been asked this before so I apologize. You have said that the bars are "medium" and you have used the standard cables. I want purchase the Fred Kodlin Santee Bonanza II Medium Fat Bars, They are 14" tall. Can you tell me (in inches) how tall yours are? As I think your bike is awesome!! thanks :)))
Love the bike! I recently bought a 2014 Street Bob and starting my customization process. I have saw your seat before, and thought about it for mine. But my factory seat is really comfortable. Is that spring seat pretty comfortable?
@sammspeed
10 жыл бұрын
Hi Dustin, Thanks man! To be honest, the seat is not really comfortable - but it looks good ;-))) I even got rid of the springs and mounted it solid with self made brackets, since I had the feeling I was sitting too high. Seat is original HD, quality is good. Even though it is not that comfortable, I would buy it again, Greets, Mike
@ RobbyPlease check the description, all inBest regardsMichael
@chegchegger: pls check out my other video in which I listed the main parts I used. Also pls read all questions/comments answers of both vids. Further I powder coated a lit of the parts in denim or gloss black, Greets, Mike
@makemoneyrelaxI was running the bike for several years in Korea without any hassle.Meanwhile the bike is in Germany and equipped with a KESS-TECH exhaust, totally TUEV legal.GreetsMike
This is my dream bike. And does anyone notice he sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger?
Beauty, how do you like this bike?
Hi Rigsey, your supplier is talking rubbish. When you change to the KODLIN "medium" you do not have to change the cables. You must change the cables when you change to the "tall" version. The OEM cable are a perfect match to the "medium" Ride safe Mike
@constantipmThanks man! I'm 1,84mGreetsMike
What is that bar that goes across your forks that's right above your tire?
@sammspeed

Hi, that is a fork stabilizer, making the fork more rigid. That is in particular an further advantage since I do not have the front fender ride safe, Cheers Mike

@Isaac rosasI'm currently travelling - can't tell right now - sorry. Please check the web page of FRED KODLIN. This is the Medium size FAT BAR. More or less same height as the OEM Street Bob ape-hanger, BUT more FAT and better looking :-))
