Description from Amazon:
Immediate Protection for Your Home
When fires are a very common type of emergency a family can face in their home, it’s important to do everything you can to be prepared. The Kidde KN-COSM-IBA interconnected combination smoke and CO alarm combines an ionization smoke sensor, which can detect smaller, less visible fire particles, with an electrochemical sensor, which detects CO, into a single, superior device. This interconnectable smoke and carbon monoxide detector provides constant, reliable protection to your home.
Install in Minutes
Complete with an adjustable mounting bracket, mounting hardware, a quick-connecting wire harness, two AA batteries and a user’s manual, this smoke and carbon monoxide alarm is easily set up in any room of your home for instant protection. It has a battery safeguard so it can’t accidentally be mounted without batteries. It meets the safety standards set by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) so that you can be confident of its quality.
Voice and Alarm Notifications
A verbal warning system reduces confusion and helps get occupants to safety.
Alarm warnings include:
Fire: The red LED will flash with three long beeps, followed by the message “Fire! Fire!”
Carbon Monoxide: Four short alarm beeps followed by the message “Warning! Carbon Monoxide!”
Alarms will repeat until hazard is cleared.

Thanks for the great demo and I enjoyed the jokes too! 😊
Okay seriously this is the BEST video I have seen! And turns out in my home I have the same detector that you had to replace! So I am good to go and very grateful! Thanks for all the details as well....not umbrellas...buckets...so cool!

Thanks Sean, they're working great, I mean I don't know since there hasn't been a fire....
I just installed the same smoke detector today and did the same shower head cap joke with my girlfriend 🤣

Ha ha, I thought it was funnier than she did, I know it melted her heart deep inside. Thanks for watching Jamie!
I've watched a few different videos now. No one speaks of actually installing the wiring from the breaker box to the detector. What I need to know is; is it 14-2 wire to the first combo detector, then 14-3 from the first to the next, to the next, etc?

You are correct. 14-2 to first alarm to power it and to pigtail to the next alarms and then 14-3 between alarms. The third wire (red) is called the "Alarm Interconnect" It only runs between the alarms. It just makes the alarms one for all and all for one.
Do you still have the old alarm
If you want to be extra sure you should probably check that there's no power with every alarm. (Though, I never bother with a proper checker working at home, I simply have a lamp plugged into the same circuit. Do as I say, not as I do. In my defense - I know there's no weirdly wired mess in that house. If the breaker for a room is off, I know that I can use any outlet in the room to check, and be sure that everything in that room is off.)
Your videos are okay knowledge is good but your comedy is not entertaining
