Happy Thanksgiving. I did yarn splurge a month ago. I now have several projections all lined up. But, of course, who could not resist buying more yarn? Unfortunately, my bank account disagrees with this! Enjoy the Wooly Thistle stash! Alpacas are herds....

Thank you! I knew flock wasn't right but it just seemed right... alpacas are flighty animals.

I’ll have to check out Wheel of Time. I committed to the Aubrey-Maturin books by Patrick Brian. Master and Commander was a compilation of several of the 19 books in the series. The movie is good but took lots of liberties. Oh, a good friend has a herd of alpaca.

I'm on the last books of the Wheel of Time now, they were written by a second author because the original author died. ... I think the last books are the best of the series. Brandon Sanderson flawlessly picked up the writing and I think actually improved on it. It's hard to say I like his writing better when he's picking up the story from an author who died. ... I'm going to quit rambling and just say that the last books are good.

I am super late on this... but I wanted to chime in. I do enjoy the Woolly Thistle! I enjoy her shop casts. I took the opportunity to pick up some British Breeds for black Friday as well... I have never seen it in person either. I saw that they re-stocked some of Marie Wallin's kits and I am torn over what I want... the Hawthorn? Maybe mittens? I actually need some. My fingers get cold. I would like to try out some of the John Arbon and Ullcentrum yarns. I do like your new sweater! It's going to be awesome

I just got my shipment in from them and I purchased a few skeins of the British Breeds. I thought it was going to be very similar to the Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift but it seems a lot softer then that yarn. I'm happy I bought it.
