I'm glad you're back! I'm also glad you took a break instead of getting burnt out. I'd hate to think we might not see you anymore. I enjoyed the ten things episodes but I prefer the chatty ones where you tell what you've been making and what you've been doing. Your projects are always interesting, I love seeing the cats and I really enjoy getting to see Okinawa it's beautiful and your adventures are fun and interesting. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

I love that you are going back to your “why” for your channel. When we share authentically is when we connect most with the audience! 😘

So true! I knew I was off track when I found myself feeling stressed about this channel. I've gotten so much good feedback this week now that I'm back to doing what I love.

Hi Deanna. 😊 Your Oremburg shawl is so beautiful and what an heirloom! I love your tube storage idea and understand all too well the struggles we cat-owners endure just to keep our yarn/projects safe 🤣 I really enjoyed this episode and as you know, love your channel. One of the reasons I enjoy watching it is because of the unique perspective you bring as well as the informative content, and you seem so honest and genuine. Regardless of numbers, you should be so very proud of what you have created and the fact that it's refreshingly different from so many other knitting channels. 🤗💕

You're one of my favorite knitting channels to watch. I'm so glad you're back! I live in an extremely hot desert climate now but I don't care anymore. I just keep knitting. I love the content about Okinawa and your recent trip to other parts of Japan because I'm pretty sure I'll not get a chance to see it myself. I appreciate your calm and mature delivery. I know a lot of social media is a numbers game but numbers don't always reflect what's quality, in my opinion. I appreciate your effort. Thanks!

I'm really glad to hear my fans agree! I keep reminding myself that this is a hobby, I'm not a monetized channel, I can do whatever I want!

I love the shawl. I have a picture of my grandmother (from Russia!) wearing on off these shawls. I was going to take a class with Galina Khmeleva in at the Dallas fiber fest... but then COVID happened....Thanks for sharing your part of the world!

Oh, you could knit one of these shawls and then go recreate your grandmothers picture! That sounds fun to me.

Your blanket is spectacular. Although I enjoy shawls and afghans, I can't imagine tackling one quite so large. Enjoyed today's episode.

Thank you! I tackled some large projects this year with the warm shawl and my great tapestry. I remember when socks seemed like a ton of knitting and sweaters were out of the question because they take so long. Maybe I'm getting more patient as I get older. lol

Same here, Deanna, one of my favorite knitting channels. And its a pleasure to watch if it is yours while making🤩...I feel that you have so much experience and curiositiy towards the craft and country etc...do what ever you want to do. I liked the "favorite 10" series, I am very happy to see your finished orenburg shawl, whow, but I was also fascinated by your mount fuji episode, for example. i already had a lot of inspiration from you, thank you.👌

I am glad you are back and I totally respect your need for a break! I will be happy to watch no matter what your format is and where they send you next. Hopefully some where with a LYS... I went to Savannah this weekend to shop for things I may or may not need. I'm not sorry! I also enjoy your top ten videos with projects from the past.

Yay, thank you! I do really miss having a LYS. In Alaska I pretty much lived at Far North Yarn Co. Having a local community of knitters is really the best.

Yay, I’m so excited it’s finished! Totally not sick of it at all, my gossamer shawl is taking so long, and not even half the size. I’m finding Orenburg lace is addicting for me, though. I can’t wait to try the warm shawl. And very excited to see where you’re headed next!

Yay, thank you! For me the four boarder panels where the longest part of this knit. They required a lot more thought so they took forever. Once I got on to the other parts it was easier knitting and the stitches just started flying off the needles.

I like all your podcasts and I really enjoyed the ones about your favorites. Taking a break sometimes is helpful. I'm glad you came back! What kind of work do you do? I know you said your job sent you from there to Alaska and then you came back. And where are they moving you to next, if I might ask. It reminds me of my one brother. He spent a little over 20 years in the air force and he would be sent all over the place. He got to see some beautiful countries. I have to say, I love the way you do your content here. The mix of what is going on in your world and seeing this country through your eyes is exciting and then all of your knitting is always beautiful. Just one other question. Will you be letting us know when you move? Kind of let us know there will be a break in podcasting, but you will be back, kind of thing? Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this. I appreciate it so much.

I will absolutely let you know when I'm moving! I'm debating making people wait in suspense to find out where I'm going next. We're looking at contracts in a two places, one I'm much more excited about then the other... so it will really come down to what job I can land. I think one of my last videos here I'm going to do a "japanese home tour" to show off the little things that are different in a Japanese home vs. US. For a while I was thinking about quiting youtube and really my upcoming move is what has keep me hanging on.
