I was once the sign on announcer for a local radio station. That meant we went off the air at 8 pm and came back on the air at 6 am. I would always start the day out playing this song.

I grew up with this song. My auntie would sing it before the preaching and have people at the altar, begging for Jesus to save them. Powerful.

I never get tired of listening to these old groups. And it’s amazing how most of these Southern Gospel groups almost hang the entire songs meaning on that tag line and crescendo ending. It’s Just perfection!

Brings back so many memories. I was raised in a pentecostal church, and we would go to southern gospel concerts. I remember seeing the Happy Goodman's.
