God knows we're not perfect and is ready to forgive us when we ask. Our sins are already paid for. Praise the Lord! I love Johnny Cook. He's the best tenor in the world. I love to hear him sing with The Happy Goodmans. They are such wonderful blessings. Johnny and several of the Goodman family have gone on to sing in the Heavenly Choir, but thank the Lord we can see them again one day along with all our friends and loved ones who have gone on before us. I love the Goodmans and have for years. Johnny Cook is such a great addition in those years. In my ministry today I play him in my intros right before I preach. In using his work he has done for Jesus Christ, I am adding to his reward he will receive when we all stand before the Judgment seat of Christ. He sings with such conviction and emotion you can see and feel it every time he sings a song. I love his song, Long winding road. What an anointing is on that song and as he sings it. He wrote the song and what a treasure it is. I know God will reward him much for his love for Jesus Christ.

Johnny Cook is so inspirational and the best tenor of our time..how sensational is this ..Already Won the War saids it all.

The late great Johnny Cook was/is THE best gospel tenor I've ever heard. God sure blessed us when he made Johnny. Also the other greats like the Happy Goodmans and many others. I was blessed to see Johnny with The Happy Goodmans and also The Inspirations at the Christian School Shelby Academy in Montevallo Alabama close to where I live. I loved them too. Ole 6'4" 94 (lbs) of The Inspirations Mike Holcomb. An awesome bass singer. Those two groups were my favorites for many years. Thanks again. God bless you!

@Sammye Porter.. he was actually from Bradford, Tennessee :) although Bradford is not very far from Milan...... If l'm not mistaken.. he mostly grew up in Idlewild, Tennessee which is just a short distance from Bradford & Milan..... He is buried in Milan, Tennessee. 💜💔🌹🍃

I've been a fan of Johnny Cook since 1974, at the tender age of 14. I found myself singing and dancing while I did my housework. I feel in love with his voice!! Plz share more videos of Johnny.

If you would like to credit the songwriter this was written by Tommy Alexander. Tommy wrote many great Southern Gospel songs while the tenor singer, guitarist, bus driver and later manager of The Mid South Boys Quartet of Sheridan Arkansas.

@Wilbur Sinclair... Howard & Vestal left the Group in 1980...... At that time Rusty & Sam called on Johnny Cook to return to the Group...... He first started with The Happy Goodman's in 1973.... then left the group in 1977 to sing solo.......

Jesus Christ never ,i repeat,never lost a battle,he had total victory over Satan and Jesus layed down his life freely for you and me. So that we can have total victory over Satan in his name. Remember that. And remember Jesus could have called upon 10,000 angels to save him.

No, Rusty Goodman's daughter Tanya Goodman Sykes. Vestal and Howard had gone to meet their Savior when this was done. Not too long after this, Rusty passed away, too. Johnny Cook also passed away quite a few years back. I miss these people so much. I was blessed by God to see the original Happy Goodmans in person with Johnny Cook. Johnny was really young back then.

Great singing! That's a Bosendörfer Imperial Grand Piano....costs around $150,000.00. So out of tune. Such a shame.
