Vestal once said you dont retire; you refire---this is proof! They kept singing and ministering until God called them Home. As I plan for my retirement from paid employment, I look forward to how God will use me in music and chaplaincy!

Years ago I heard them as guests at our church. The presence of God was so strong. It was so anointed. It made me think to have God’s presence so strong they must be fully surrendered to the Lord.

My mother introduced me to the Goodmans at 16 yo! I'm 76 yo now! My favorite group!

Howard and Vestal Goodman were such blessings from our Lord and Savior. You could feel the Lords presence in their music ministry amen!!!

Praise God I know the good ones are gone now but I've just learned to Love Gospel music through them specially the song you're doing I know it's coming back again and I believe the Lord's going to use this song to set off his last revival praise his mighty name I'm just recently started to really love Howard's voice it's it's there's something about it it's great thank you Jesus

Amen I agree the music today is not spiritual. We have a ministry and there's no contemporary or rock and roll song. We are old fashioned and God is in control.

There will never ever be a Vestal Goodman. I met her when I was a little bity girl. My uncle's house was rocking. Those were priceless memories when I was a child. My dad had the deepest voice that I had ever heard. We use to go to all night singings and visited Ryman Auditorium. That was over 50 years ago. What a blessed gift from God the Son that he gave to me and everyone else to have given his life at Calvary (the Cross).

I attended the same church that Vestal, Howard, and Tonya Goodman Sykes attended for 10 years. They are so down to earth and Vestal was very warm and nurturing to many of the younger adults in the gospel music industry. The whole family mentored others and were purveyors of descipleship as well. Many revivals were they apart of.

Oh MAN, This was the event at the Atlanta Astor Dome and I need to find the whole thing (of course Bill Gaither sells it), and he was the one who put it all together. SO THANKFUL FOR THAT! And FYI, this was the first time that the Hoppers were on one of Bill’s “big events”, and it literally catapulted their career to an a time level. It kind of makes me think this is what it might be like in GOD’s Kingdom one day. Just singing praises to him for endless hours or days. Well no time will be calculated so….EVEN BETTER! Whoo Hoo, what a time that is going to be!

Praise Jesus ❤ and YES I BELIEVE THE TIME IS NEARING WE WILL SEE HIS APPEARING I SUR HOPE HE SAYS WELCOME HOME MY CHILD. I pray for all maybe lost in sin and darkness. Satan is a liar!

If there was a church like this, I'd travel 200 miles to get there every Sunday!

Our LORD and Creator makes those wonderful feelings possible. Anyone who wants to think our feelings are made from a random space explosion, not orchestrated by a sovereign God may do so. dreamer 1 I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you when you say that "It's sad when you go to Churches and you can't tell if it is a Church or a Rock Concert." Because I will tell you that I do attend a church that you would consider to be a Rock Concert, but I can feel the presence of God during those services. And I'm not saying that you should change the way you worship, but I encourage you to listen to some Christian Rock. Because I'm 20 years old and I feel the presence of God while I'm listening to Christian Rock just the same way as when I'm listening to The Happy Goodman's. Maybe it's not for you and that's ok to. But if you're willing to please listen to some Christian Rock.

Always gives me goose bumps. Been a good while since I listened to Vestal and Howard Goodman. Always listened to them sing and listen to all of the Gaither Homecomings with Mom when I was younger. Started to cry b/c it reminded me of mom (a good cry).
