I actually really love Ross's higher end. I think it sounds awesome. It would be amazing if he did some high pitched Learning to Live type singing on their next album...

If I am not wrong, they have done a tour with Mike Portnoy where they played 12-Step Suite and some more DT songs together

Haken should come to Brazil. Their works really impressed me. I found out about this band around 2013 with the album Visions and it became on my all time favorites. I thought prog metal was worn out but they proved me wrong.

I was at this show and the energy was incredible

That's how the fucking drums should sound in DT , actually this cover is better than Dt's breaking the 4th wall by far

There is one thing that I've never understood. PREMISE: I think this video is amazing, I'm a huge Haken fan and this performance is good! But how come people are leading a crusade against LaBrie and every SINGLE note he sings that is being nudged a bit in post-production becomes "hah labrie can't sing", while a performance like this, where the vocal correction is evident (just listen to audience-recorded vids of this performance), is used to bash LaBrie thanks to Ross' apparent vocal perfection? Truth is that DT songs are VERY challenging to pull off live, every singer is human and makes mistakes, and unfortunately not Ross Jennings nor Labrie can always be perfect. Sorry if this sounded harsh, disrespectful towards anyone (not meant to be) or just over the top, but I never liked hearing/reading things against musicians.

Mr. Neptune Blue Well you know, there is a difference between what the crowd hears and what is really played, and moreover if it is recorded with some shit cellphone. The recording we hear has been recorded directly through the mix table BEFORE it was sent to the speakers. It is not recorded through mics in the room. When Labrie is recorded through the same setup, he often sounds off or out of tune. Ross Jennings doesn't.

I highly doubt Ross had any pitch correction done on his vocals in this vid. I've been to a live Haken concert; he simply isn't off-pitch very often. It kinda depends on the song, but some songs he just sings pretty much perfectly.

Man it's not hard to play Metallica song's better than themselves....the fact they're about the biggest Heavy Metal band on the planet and know it made them super not care about sloppyness, Lars stated he barely cares about his playing at this point, and sad part he's right.
