yeah no offense to Ashlyn but that was truly an atrocious decision, Josh clearly was in a position to build and spot-remove anything Ashlyn had, Jimmy had already had most of his fuel removed from Josh. Ashlyn should've just thanked Josh for focusing Jimmy so hard, removed Josh out of the game and then very likely could've managed Jimmy and Lady on her own.

To be fair, Sheoldred is extremely brutal; if you leave her alive for like 3 turns she can kill everyone, so you HAVE to kill her on sight or you just lose.

In our playgroup Sheoldred has what we call a "feels bad ability" in that you are punished for taking normal game actions. Cards like Sheoldred tend to draw a lot of hate, even if the player playing them isn't doing well in the game.

blame the deck, josh was taking 8 damage per rotation and he needed to remove her commander. plus thats all josh did, remove her commander and if she cant restablish or recover just from losing her commander, the deck she built is terrible

@@strokedout6298 for someone who said i didnt read, you sure didnt comprehend what i said. let me reiterate: the only thing ladee/her deck did wrong was play her commander centric deck vs a mono removal deck who had no pressure from other players. the other players are at fault for not realizing that she wasnt the threat and basically killing her while josh got to do whatever he wanted drawing 4+ cards a rotation. this was a bad game to watch

Ashlen asking herself how is she supposed to win this? Well, considering Josh was the archnemesis for the whole game playing monoremoval, I'd say letting Ladee and Jimmy live would've been all for her advantage. The moment she went for the kill I was convinced she would lose.

Almost NO spotremoval or interaction was played by anyone other than JLK. And you can't tell me with a straight face you thought that attack from Ashlen at Jimmy and Ladee to take them out (who both demonstrated they couldnt deal with Ashlen's board in the first place) wasn't so that the "shiny new card that will help sell boxes of a future set" could win. It's painfully obvious that she should have taken out Josh with that attack. You know, the monowhite player with a grip full of cards who has played pretty much ONLY REMOVAL. Either she has literally the worst threat assessment I have seen in years and years, or they gave the win to Elesh on purpose.

Funnily enough, Vorinclex makes Doubling Season work on your planeswalkers' plus abilities. The reason it doesn't work natively is because Doubling Season specifically looks for effects adding counters, and costs aren't effects. However, because Vorinclex is a replacement EFFECT, the plus ability is now being turned into an effect which Doubling Season sees and doubles.

People just naturally underestimate monowhite, just because it is the worst color; however, when it receives extra card draw (such as the Howling Mine coupled with the Wedding Ring to amplify it) it is a force to be reckoned with.

I could understand deciding to go after Jimmy instead of Ladee since she was already in the weakest position, but Ashlen not swinging at Josh when she had Vorinclex, Vigor, and Ohran Frostfang out at the same time was a baffling choice.

The animation of that Wedding Ring being destroyed may be the best thing I've ever seen on this channel. Beautiful. Give whoever created that a bonus for Christmas or something.

I didn't mean anything negative about it, but sure helps to draw a ton of cards, double your plays and keep your commander the entire game. It's magic and it seems that removal was hiding in the rest of the others decks. Especially the, you know, monoblack deck.

Though abnormal, I feel this would have been one of the few times a 5 player game could have worked on Game Knights. Each praetor gets a good showing and we get a fun shake up of the formula.

I feel like the new one would've been super easy to deal with this game as most of whites removal was creature/enchantment based so his counter ability wouldn't work as well. If you're playing a jjin deck and fill it with counterspells as well then you're just a monster who'll never be invited back to most tables

@@jgroen5545 She agreed to be allied to Josh so he wouldn't target her things. The problem was that she doesn't have a chance to beat him alone. Single removal isn't good value in a 1v1v1v1 format, so people (in this case everyone else) make the mistake of not playing much of it.

That news report after the marriage getting broken up was absolutely hilarious.

Hilarious but also really weird at the same time.

And closing this epic year we had this amazing ending of Ladee singing Single ladies right after becoming a single lady, a single ladee ... anyways, pure poetry

The speech on the separation was hilarious. The last part the look on your face Josh is priceless while you deliver that line LMAO

Love that the flavor was on point. Norn, Sheoldred, and Vorinclex in a "marriage" with Urabrask on the outside

I love how the guests have all gradually just become team members.

Almost NO spotremoval or interaction was played by anyone other than JLK. And you can't tell me with a straight face you thought that attack from Ashlen at Jimmy and Ladee to take them out (who both demonstrated they couldnt deal with Ashlen's board in the first place) wasn't so that the "shiny new card that will help sell boxes of a future set" could win. It's painfully obvious that she should have taken out Josh with that attack. You know, the monowhite player with a grip full of cards who has played pretty much ONLY REMOVAL. Either she has literally the worst threat assessment I have seen in years and years, or they gave the win to Elesh on purpose.

The "so sad" from Solemn Simulacrum is just *chef's kiss*.

This was amazing! Love it! Great game. Now I know what kind of deck I will never play against. But I really enjoyed Josh reading to the "press". You guys are hilarious.

I love how Urabrask basically turns off Sheoldred.

I play a lot of prosper which I felt like was a natural fit for urabrask but always felt disappointed in it's performance. I was pleasantly surprised here jimmy did a good job of making it sing

The Prof: “BE ONE WITH PHYREXIA” So this is what happens when you break a deal with the Prof.

This made negative 0 temperatures and a snow storm so much more bearable! Thanks for another awesome upload!

I love to see that posty has an active role now in The Command Zone. Such a great channel.

So few interaction from the other three decks made it quite easy for Josh to win this.

I see no one wanted to play Jin-Gitaxias 😂

I hear a lot of complaints about people quitting the game before damage is dealt to avoid giving the player lifelink life, but isn't this attempt to make Vorinclex bigger just as bad? You are still negatively affecting a player after you are out of the game.

​@@greywolf7577Late to this, but imo Josh had been deleting Jimmy's board the entire game, so he's just helping someone else, as opposed to actively disabling an ability that would normally trigger.

Loved the wedding status updates during the episode, and the stinger was great too xD Fun game!

Another episode where JLK plays the most obviously threatening card at the table, and nobody removes it the entire game while he steamrolls everyone? Such captivating gameplay

Yeah and Ashlen accepting that deal was not the best play. She was set against Jimmy with Vigor and Ladee wasnt in the game at all. Why ally with Josh at that point? Also felt for Jimmy, really loved the deck and plays.

@@Coren999 Yup made no sense. Jimmy was being picked on hard by Josh, and Ladee had nothing so the team up wasn't needed at all at that point. I also think Jimmy should have just used BA and gave the win to Ash out of spite to Josh lol

Yeah Josh simply made this entire match unenjoyable but just my opinion.

Thank you for the perfect timing on this episode. I was almost starting to be productive at my job. Can't have that Edit: And a wonderful game played by Mr Josh Lee Kwai Rose Danger, the divorcees... and Jimmy

Love the fact that this one is all about mono color decks. And humor of the marriage is so funny. 🎉🎉

The best part of watching these video's is the fun you guys are having!!

Mr. Infect should have been in this episode since he is known to be a phyrexian.

Wow that new Elesh Norn is very nasty. Josh was basically playing stax, others trying to play, but Josh removing absolutely everything so no one could do anything. Jimmy was playing really well but got a lot of hate/removal.

Poor Ladee, she had a rough game. Edit; During the middle of te game I forgot about the wedding rings on the table for a while so when Josh kept mentioning his "wife" Ashlen I thought "Oh they are actually married? How nice, I never knew."

@@tomasblack6157 I think, I don't quite understand what you mean. If a card like glorious anthem (the card that gave the name "Anthem" to this type of effect) says "creatures you contol get +1/+1", it does not put a counter on the creatures, because that would mean that when the anthem leaves the battlefield, the creatures are still pumped by it - which shouldn't be the case. Vorinclex does not turn off anthems.

"We're friends, right?" is JLK for "I view you as the biggest threat at the table right now, please don't kill me, and also spend your resources killing the rest of the table for me so I can dismantle you at my leisure."

I play an artifact deck lead by Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, and I'm surprised how good it is. Constantly winning with cards like Blightsteel Colossus, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Rite of Replication. Love Phyrexia, hoping that all will be one under the hand of our dear mother, Elesh Norn

When Jimmy blocked the huge Vorinclex and basically pumped him up with Vigor's help. He looked suprised. I thought for sure he had something in his hand a la mob rule or kari zev's expertise.

Maybe he did, but there was no point in using a card like that with Vigor on the board. He could have killed one other player, but not Ashlen, just to lose to her once she untapped. He probably realized it and decided to dig for a board wipe instead

I mean, Josh is never punished for anything in GK. I'm so damned tired of people completely ignoring what he's doing and then expecting us to be surprised when he suddenly takes over the game because of people's awful threat assessment.

Missed opportunity to say "All will be one" instead of the standard "Only one will stand"

This was a really fun episode, awesome to see the praetors balance each other out! I’m also glad to see no Jin-Gitaxias around, cause he may have run away with the game, but was really cool to see everyone do something impactful

The double marriage and immediate scandal sent me flying. Love the Praetors going at it

This game was amazing! I loved the wedding ring, its a great card. I wished Craig had appeared on this episode

I’m so glad that they finally can do a preator showdown. The flavor of this episode was so great!

Why Ashlen thought it was a good idea to do JLK’s dirty work for him after he drew so many cards all game is beyond me 😂

I was thinking of building my own Elesh Norn EDH deck but after seeing this episode, I’m definitely building it.
