@@ryanbolson23siege rhino came out 9 years ago, very few people will know this reference. You would need to have both played back then, and also watched saffron olive. For example, I played siege rhino a bunch back, but didn’t watch olive.

It’s ok to make niche references, but if someone is going to, they have to accept that it’s niche or not say it at all in my opinion. To explain verbatim the reference is comparable to explaining a joke because no one laughed.

Alright, well results are in. I may be off 1 or 2 Sheoldred's but I got what I believe to be the correct count. 34 Sheoldred's were said during the intro alone. 250 Sheoldreds were said throughout the rest of the video which included : Sheoldred'd = 4 times, Sheoldreding = 2 times, Sheoldredie = 1 time and 2 times where he said most of Sheoldred's name but didn't finish it.....Hope that helps lol

I strongly feel that Urabrask Heretic preator should be played more just due to that fact that it kinda turns off Shelodred. It gives card advantage without taking extra damage, and turns off their first draw meaning they cant just sit and gain life.

The problem you run into is simply “Why not just play Sheoldred instead?” Does it turn Sheoldred off? Yeah. But for 1 less mana you could instead play Sheoldred, get all of Sheoldred’s value, and as an added bonus… A Sheoldred on your side cancels out their Sheoldred (As every time they draw they gain 2 and lose 2, leaving a net 0 for each card drawn). So not only does the card have insane value… It’s also one of the best counters to itself. Hence why it’s become so prominent

I love that Seth answered WoTC latest revitalizing standard anouncement with a deck of 36 sheoldreds and actualy wins so much XD

ME: ... you're REALLY stretching to call some of these Sheoldreds, Seth SETH: Even the lands are Sheoldreds!

As sheoldred seems to be based on a centipede I would say a swarm. I also like pod and crush

Technically, sheoldred is just the womanly torso and head at the top. The big body is some huge beast she's commandeered, which is why she's looking a bit different after each planeswalk. I personally liked the original huge mouth one on Whispering One best, but this one is definitely something centipedeuos. Terrifying what skitters around dominaria.

This has been your best deck explanation so far.

I feel like this might work better with Ratadrabik and Blade of Shared Souls. Also, adding the MoM Sheoldred would be fun, because that's a Sheoldred that can get back many other Sheoldreds.

Is against the odds always best of one? Would’ve liked to see how this plan does with sideboarding

It's most often best of three, but I've been playing more best of one when it fits the deck. In this case I didn't really want to sideboard because it would mean taking out Sheoldreds for non-Sheoldreds, so it seemed to work against the theme of the deck.

My board full of sheoldred deck used Vesuvan Duplimancy and a whole lot of single and 2 mana protection spells to crap out sheoldreds. Less reliable because it was made a couple a sets ago, but it was fun when it worked. My record was 12 sheoldreds on the field at once.

I don't think you said Sheoldred enough times Seth😂

I've been doing something similar in jund colors with Huntman's Redemption and the like. So fun to see another take on an all Sheoldreds deck

If I had a coin for each time agains the odds made a deck wich more than half the deck was made to copy a 4 mana 4/5 creature with black on its mana cost I'd have at least 2 coins Which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice

Yesterday i got to have 4 attacking copies of Sheoldred (the one that transforms) on board in standard brawl thanks to The Apprentice’s Folly + Reflection of Kiki-Jiki

But then you'd have to play Historic for Howling Mine. And if you're playing Howling Mine, you might as well play Bowmaster, and One Ring, and then you're not really Against the Odds anymore, you're just playing the same Historic deck everyone else is playing.

That's definitely an early scoop @8:54. It's not looking good by any stretch but could either beseech out a sheoldred or ludovic + candy grapple to take out the big druid with sheoldred on the way next turn (provided you topdeck another land).

i can't remember how, but i played against a deck in standard months ago where the opponent made token copies of sheoldred, so they had 3 sheoldred's on the battlefield at once. I lost that match

add mirror box and looter can become a flying copy of shelodred after you loot her and you can have an army of flying shelodred. invasion of amonket is ok, but Blade of Shared Souls is better. you dont have to flop it. also, see double could help if you wanted to drop red to be just dimir.

If I cracked a pack and opened a Sheoldred every time you said Sheodred, I'd have a lot of Sheoldreds to sell before the Standard ban happened.
