Habbits in many Habitats
Many think Mick is a "Hobbit" but he is really a "Habbit' exploring 3 Habitats...the "Gated Wild", "Open Fenced Lands" and "Sitty".
Mick steps out of his home in the "Lands of OM (Olympic Mountains)" to travel to the "Lands of Motor" (Places with lots of motors). I captured a few moments along the way there... and back again. enjoy!

TV is fake - Mick is real. Just becasue the story he was trying to tell got left on the editing floor, because Nat Geo had their own ideas of what they thought their audience wanted...don't blame Mick for doing what he could to put the HOH Rain Forest center stage

Get your facts right bro. Mick is chill, tv 📺 is fake tho for sure.. he did what he could when he could, and I’m pretty sure he’s still at it.
Damn Micky Boo Boo has shoes on.

He never said not to wear shoes. he has lots of footwear ( i made his sheepskin boots). Mick says" follow your feet and the earth will teach" Sometimes the only way you can hear the earth is bare sole to earth soul. but each walking surface informs you thru your feet what you need. and then there is TV (Tel-A-Vision) and each network has their own VISION to TELL. use your mind - I'm sure its good.

@@jacquiechandler2031 I can tell you that the real woodsmen will never appear on some fake reality show. They avoid publicity. I grew up around them and was taught by them.

@@hwally777 That was not Mick's story - that was Nat Geo's story. Mick wanted to show off the lHoh Rain Forest, hoping people might be moved to protect what is left. He also wanted to call attention to a practice we co-created, called the Earthgym. However, you are right, reality TV has its own agenda and even trying to meet in the middle ended up not working. But the momentum from the show opened up doors for us to share the Earthgym practice with others: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKpn2tuDY5S8gdI.html that was our goal - to inspire others to stretch and tone with a stick or a stone, so when you go outside, you feel at home. that was and still is the goal. it's how we wanted to Tel-A-Vision

Very sorry to hear that. It was a National Geographic article on Chinese Foot binding that motivated Mick to cut the casts off his feet and stick them in the mud to heal. Slowly they came to life, healed, became stronger and more aches and pains began to heal, esp. the wounds of war in his heart. Binding the feet is part of the Culture of Fear.

Yes, for the last 2- years he has lived on a farm in Montague CA. But prior to the show destroying his ability to live in the Hoh Rain forest undisturbed - he did indeed live there. And if you ever been part of a TV show - you know they Tell-A-Vision of their own

True: He currently is creating a training program with barbells he designed. However, before the show he lived on in the Hoh Rain Forest and sometimes in tent sites on friends land. He did walk away from his house and job at Fort Lewis to live in forest, in tree stumps and hanging hammocks and at times would come into town for supplies, company. He is not a hermit, but did live stealth, outside the modern culture to try and make sense of it. Having grown up in two cultures: Okinawa on a Marine base and summers in the Hoh with his grandad (who was a logger)...after Nam, the Hoh forest became his grounding. Yes, TV networks see characters like Mick and start out fascinated to just follow him around to showcase his unique lifestyle. But, when he wouldn't kill for the camera and was more a prankster than the survivalist they felt their audience wanted, they began to script in lines,.
Are you and Mick still around?........................
