The 7 sounds more open. The tweeters made the difference. The bass is also a bit stronger. I like it

I would say that the bass of the the 7 is a little more tighter. Not especially deeper or stronger. I prefer the sound of the 7 over the Studio 6.

No. I had onyx 6 now 7. Onyx 6 bass feels stronger. Cause it goes deeper. Inyx 7 is boomier

I personally own a onyx 6 and I thought was the better decision I’ve ever made but man onyx 7 sounds clear and I love it. Never mind about the waterproof. Gonna buy this. Go for it guys. HK never disappoints you.

Onyx 7 is a shit, you can't bring it to the bathroom because of humidity, this is a downgrade. I like listen to music while i'm having a shower. Onyx 6 is the best. If I want a real stereo sound, I will buy 2 speaker, not 1 speaker with 2 tweeters...

The studio 6 isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing but definitely the most practical for out door use.

Glad to see the first impressions I don't have the 6 so I'm glad you did a quick comparison but one thing I learned 4 days ago you can actually you can pair the 5 and 6 together in stereo so after you pair them up together press and hold the playing pause button for 4 seconds on any speaker and you got stereo😄

I also use Poweramp Equalizer for Spotify and the HK Onyx Studio 6 sounds great.

I still got onyx 3. I bought a bose soundbar 700, honestly was disappointed! I am thinking yo stay with onyx 3 or maybe upgrade to 7

I think it depends. Because from here, it sounded like the onyx 6 was more spatial than the 7 and that the 7 sounded more directional than the studio 6. But in terms of bass, they sound sort of similar, but the studio 7 sounds louder in the 1khz-4khz range.

I had the onyx 1, 2 and 3 and they were awesome speakers 🔊

I just came across your video while looking for a good quality bluetooth speaker and I'm so happy I found this! I just saw the studio 6 for 179$ and at that price it's a great deal. For 179$ (or slightly less) you usually get the portable speakers like the Bose Flex or a JBL Charge, but just the sheer size of this speaker alone puts it into a whole different category of sound experience 😁. Thanks man!

I'm definitely a Stereo guy and I usually like having my 808's in Stereo. So I know what you mean when you say the Bass is lifted. In my experience w/mix&mastering, it has to be separated farther or higher in volume so you can get that full feel alongside everything else. I just ordered the HK6 for outdoors but Mono is pretty boring to me despite the speaker sounding good.

Studio 6 - better in aesthetics, Water proof, Mono, cheaper price than studio 7. Studio 7 - Not Water proof, Stereo. A bit pricey as of the moment. Onyx studio 7 is an upgrade for the sound quality though. But for me, if I have the budget now for the studio 7, I wouldn't buy it though. Instead, I will buy two studio 6. because for sure, two studio 6 would be a lot lot better than one studio 7. You got two powerful speaker with the price of one studio 7. Kudos to DLX. Man, you deserve more subscribers and views.🔥 Thank you so much for the comparison. More power to your channel.

I like more Studio 6. It's got more surface area so it's got more bass and it is waterproof. Go watch Alan Ross Reviews. He says that more surface area gives the speaker more bass. 7 sounds better, but 6 is still bassier and it is waterproof!

The Studio One still had the deepest bass when last compared at least up to the studio 4. Does anyone know if HK have returned to the deeper bass sound of the original from the 5 onwards?

Seems like the Studio 7 have slightly deeper bass, amazing ;)

Jbl only has longer battery. Lasts about 24 hours

I think 7 sounds clearer & more powerful, and yes, it sounds like stereo. 6 sounds warmer, and my wife like it so much

i love my studio 7. we have it hooked up to our 70” TV and turned it into our home entertainment system in the living room and it’s great for when we have a few people over and feels like a small party (social distanced of course)

I heard the HK onyx 7 today. The sound and the bass is so good. One can listen to it at low volume with good bass. The only reason it is not on my list is because it does not have usb-c charger. I am buying only electronics with USB-C charging nowadays.

I had onyx 5 , i love this speaker

I tried the 7 and 8 side by side and there is not much difference. I'd say the 7 focuses more on bass and the 8 is more balanced. I would have bought the 8 but there miniscule difference and the 7 was cheaper so I bought that.

I bought the 7 from T-Mobile a few days ago. Seeing as how the performance and output doesn't really differ much from the older models, I am returning it tomorrow. I would much rather buy a used older model. I owned the 5 in 2020 and I honestly didn't notice a substantial difference in sound quality or bass. Plus the battery life is the same and it isn't even waterproof. C'mon now.

I returned the 7 from T Mobile as well, too hard to figure out.... I own the older model, and the leg just came off!

It's made to sit on a shelf but you can say it's portable for some kind of functua. The sound though makes you wanna Porto it

I feel like this is an upgrade and a downgrade at the same time, I have the 6 end its great

I like my studio 4’s. I also really love the SoundSticks II computer speakers from them. But I’m gonna venture away from HK for a new Bluetooth speaker. Going with B&O Beolit 20. Studio 7 is cool but having B&O in my Audi kinda made that decision haha

Also I still have the HK STUDIO 4 not long put a new battery in so from 3000mAh to now a 3400 mAh one

Hii I'm from Fiji 🇫🇯, i have a studio 6 and just found a secret feature hidden in it.u can lock the speaker by plugging in the charger and press the Bluetooth and play button at the same time for 10sec .do the same when u want to unlock it.

I think I prefer the studio 6 output ...the sound is rounded at the edges and feel cushioned . The 7 is sharper and a bit jarring

I currently have the 6,7 and 8 in my house. I think the 8 is great, but, I like the 6 and 7 better. The 6 is amazing, especially in well recorded songs. The 7, I keep a good distance from me, and play it loud-sounds the best that way. I got the 6&7 off the HK website for $99 each new, sale sill going on. The 8, I bought renewed from Amazon. I have to finalize my decision on which to keep. It will probably the 7. I'm new to the HK world. Love them, and they have the very best customer service of any electronics company I have dealt with.

Kindly compare big Bluetooth speaker like JBL boombox against entry-level soundbar like JBL bar 2.0/Yamaha 109.
