    WOW! I watched this video earlier this afternoon and went directly to the driving range. It's been a long time since I've hit my irons, hybrids and fairway woods this long. The driver is still developing, but I've only invested one bucket of balls. I'm stoked! Thank you, Shawn!

    Hey Shawn. The 1 leg swing has really opened my swing up. It has lead me to the diagonal stance and total access to the target on the takeaway & swinging through the IT. More speed with less effort & amazing accuracy. Thanks for all you do!

    Another great video as always! I had a question regarding my trail elbow. When I let it fly, it never seems to allow my swing to take a proper divot. When I feel like my elbows are staying close to each other, my swing and divot feel much better. I’m wondering if I’m losing distance by not letting the elbow fly though… is that the case?

    Hey Shawn, how important is how high you get your hands above your head? I’ve noticed this being discussed recently specifically regarding Aberg’s swing. I noticed here that you’re still just as high with your hands as usual, and with this drill especially I’d imagine it would be hard to get speed up with lower hands at the top of the backswing. Is this something worth going after?

  • @mikedranginis8677

    I have always gone back to swinging from the lead leg anytime I felt my swing was swaying or getting too complex. Always helped me better align those efforts. Now I just recently decided that for me, the best "feel" for me is that I'm anchoring that lead leg into the ground and letting my trail leg act like a "support" to the "swing set" that is my arms and the club. My contact has improved tremendously while allowing myself to gain tons of power through the shot. I'm able to more naturally rotate back and through my shots with plenty of "drive" from that trail leg. It's funny this video showed up. It's as if you knew I was doing this!

    Haha; funny how that works! For even more support on this, please see my “downhill shots shawn clement” and learn those shots the proper way; not the “shoulders marching slope way that completely obliterates balance and posture dynamically. Our premium channel has all these shots with 2 camera angles always; at wisdom in golf premium.com

    Shawn is great. Porzac golf also teaches the leg thing as lead-leg post and trail-leg brace; and Venetos golf also teaches about anchoring the left side and his swing looks a lot like Shawn’s in this video. It’s a solid technique.

  • @mikedranginis8677

    @mikedranginis8677

    @@JT-LV good to know! What I really like about it is; you don't have to think about any form of a "shift". For me it feels like it's "just happening" slightly by swinging the club back and then through. Like all pendulums that swing from a fixed point (think of a pole in this case) the pole shifts ever so slightly in support of the swinging weight but not intentionally. So for me I don't think of "loading the back then transitioning to the front" since my tendency is to overdue it. This keeps me much more consistent and allows for a better strike.

    I recently incorporated a rise in the backswing and a drop to the ball and then the rise again. I though I would hit the ball fat, but I have hardly even had to think about where the club lands. Unfortunately, Ive only been able to do this on the range with mats at best, but I'm looking forward to trying it out on grass. Shouldn't be any different should it?

    Very Interesting -- certainly something to try BUT if I or anyone could hit it that well on one leg - Why wouldn't we just play on 1 leg? If I hit it anywhere near as good as that I would be converting to this method -- Why bother with a square two-footed stance?
