Every dog should have a cat

I think the best thing that people who lost a cherished pet can do, is pay it forward. I think Arthur is happy to know that his family can remember him with love (not pain) and that his cat friend has someone to fill the void his departure left in his life. Life is not a gift, it's a loan. Sooner or later we all go home. Eventually there will be a reunion.

I'm sorry for the loss of your long time buddy, and yes, animals do experience loss especially if they're very bonded like yours...happy to see another dog has found a home and a special friend to share it with...

It's been about 12 years since I lost Murphy and to this day its just as brutal as the first day. So much so that It took me about a decade to be ok with getting a few more pooch faces. They definitely make things easier, though. I hoped the joy of waking up to them outweighed the sadness of not waking up to him... and so far, it was absolutely the right decision to get them
