Still remember going to a tiny bush pub, a gent walked in with a goose under his arm and almost all there said: "G'Day Thomas!" or "Thomas, good to see you!" We only realized they were all greeting the goose after Thomas got offered one of their few bar-stools at the bar, who then stood on his stool calmly looking about like it was all a perfectly normal 😂

The last cat I had, a big handsome boy called "Tiger", would take my hand off for cheese but it had to be a strong flavoured, mature cheddar. I put a video of it here on KZread a few years ago (kzread.info/dash/bejne/rHpsudNyhpCyZMY.html). Unfortunately he had feline aids that he picked up when he disappeared for nine months. The video was made just after his first ever visit to the vet. Tiger passed away in 2016. He was born feral in my garage and he is buried next to it, two metres from where he was born. So, a good example of the circle of life.

In Texas I would take my cat to (what else)...a taco restaurant. We had to sit outside -- no pets in the restaurant. But he loved it! Never had to worry about him running off because he'd had a stroke years before and his walk was slow and a little wobbly.

Adorable. I have 16 year old Daisy, 6 year old Aadya (G_d's precious ornament in Hebrew) I lost my Petal to a coyote & my former roommate killed my Special Boy Merlin. Yes, I escaped & he went to jail. 🤬🤬🤬 Mine are strictly indoors only. Even in the morning you can see a coyote sitting in front of your door. I have three huge wild hills on three sides & the ocean on the other (in front). Before, I did used to take them in my backyard in the garden & on my porch swing with their halters & leashes, but only one at a time as they can easily back up & riggle out of halters. Aadya (Tata for short) is a reverse tuxedo. All white with the black ears, tail, upside down black heart on her rump & two patches of black. She is a miniature. Daisy is a gold, brown & black tabby, My Special Merlin was salt & pepper tabby. He was three times the size of ither Cats but not fat. Long & tall. I think he was mixed with Savannah Cat I miss him so much. Your Cat is super cute.

It seems you never been to England, Scotland, or Ireland. Pubs are part of their history and culture. I've been to Portsmouth and London in England and it's a place where people meet friends and to talk. There are pubs in most of the villages and towns and that's where the locals go to have time with others.

It’s not obligatory to drink alcohol! For instance everyone who drives, and about half of younger people will drink soft drinks or hot drinks. The modern pub is just an informal restaurant, often with a band, &/or quiz nights &/or a big TV to watch the big game. Many pubs have a children’s menu.

I can not understand why are u dragging the cat after u? Get her a friend and let them chill at home while u sit in a pub, cats do not like noise

If the pub's owner and the rest of the patrons of the pub don't mind, who cares? There are cats and dogs can handle noises and they are comfortable with it. If she knew that her cat didn't like the noises, she wouldn't bring her along. Besides, the cat is a celebrity in the area and people want to see her. People like the cat and they want to take pictures of the cat.

Cat seems fine to me! Not all cats require a _feline_ companion. Our KayLee is more outgoing, talkative, snugglier, & plays more now that her sister (same litter) moved out with our youngest daughter. Her sister was a bit of a bully to her. Always stealing her toys, butting in when we tried to play with KayLee with wands or tossing toy mice up the stairs.

Our cultures are being erased

pub cat's cool.... my house cat wouldn't even go out.... my sweatshirt arm was ripped to shreds trying to get her lead on.... never again.

My brother brought home a cat about a year old that had never been outdoors, and he raked my arm and shoulder bloody in his desperation to get away from an open door. But he did like to sit in the window and watch the world. We started taking him out in his vet carrier (one of those white-coverd-wire types) just to sit while we were in the garden, to get him used to the sights and sounds. As the back door in our house was open all day from about April to October, he gradually did get curious and start sitting near the door watching us outside. One day he suddenly decided he liked it. He would often intercepted us, and even our next door neighbor, up to a mile away walking home, and would demand to be carried back. He would see off all other cats and some pretty big dogs from the garden - although three times he adopted a stray kitten, two we rehimed and one of which became his lifelong buddy. Just be patient and give your cat plenty of time to look outside.
