Oh man that load out is brilliant. Accessories on accessories. I know it’s a bit pricey but to spice up one or two characters I can see why people go for them. Can’t wait to see the others now.

They really are done well. I’ll admit they are pricey, but they don’t skimp on what they give you and little details you probably didn’t know you needed lol

My Firefly is a Valaverse Urban Trooper with the Valaverse Sgt V2 webbing painted gray, the smaller Classified Dusty's goggles on his head, a gray grease gun from a NECA Joker and the leg holsters from a Classified Alley Viper. It is awesome.

That sounds cool, I also think you just spent more than $80 to make your Firefly 😉

The Gridiron load outs look great but I'll stick with Hasbro. If Hasbro announced that they were shutting down the Classified line I would invest in those load outs. As it stands right now I expect Hasbro to create a vintage version of every character.

For the price gridiron charges they should definitely use boxes. At those prices nothing should be warped.

That is by far my biggest gripe. I believe 4 of 5 of the long weapons have all had a slight warp to them. That should not be acceptable with the price they charge.

Right off the bat! Great video. I like the Classifed Fire Fly a lot. The face sculpt alone makes it great. Not mention the data pad and drone. The weapons like all early Joes suck. That being said I would buy Fire Fly off EBay and get a Valaverse weapons pack with Tech 9. The balaclava head can not compare to the real Fire Fly head.

Bobby doesn’t hat gridiron product, just the price. I spent $10 at J’s Armory and got the bandolier. It works on Classified Firefly and Urban ops republic guard. 😂.

I own a lot of Action Force figures. I love that Bobby warned his customers about the issues that the original run of figures had. The only thing that I do not like about Valaverse is that Bobby is always tearing down his competition. What I have noticed is that Bobby attempt's to shift attention to another company anytime that Action Force is criticized.

@@Apunkwithtoys I saw that vid also. I took it as the price was too high for play mats. I wish gridiron was 30-60% less than it is. I think they’d more reasonable. But they do produce good quality stuff. The only thing I had an issues with was Roadblocks load out. Hated that set. Gun broke, adhesive on the backpack suck….

Thanks for making this. I had asked the Grid Iron Studios page whether or not the Firefly gear would fit on the Valaverse figure and they never answered back. So, thanks to you, now I know it does. I might get this...but after Christmas, money is tight so it may have to wait. I can see why Grid Iron Studio loadouts are expensive....but it's getting hard to justify when you figure out that the plastic used is so soft that it practically melts in direct sunlight. :( That makes outdoor photography very limited.

I can’t speak for why they wouldn’t respond but as you know, I always try and respond. Yeah they do work and when the Alpine Loadout video drops you’ll see another Valaverse figure being used.

I hadn't realized the color difference between o ring and classified. Thanks. You could put that fancy back pack on the classified , that was the best part of the non Hasbro parts

The jet pack ,cooler "frig",road block,sgt load outs are sooo sweet

I print my own accesories on a $500 resin 3D printer . Works fine

Maybe the resin 3D printed. I believe those prints smoothly without those layer lines

Back in the day G I Joe's over seas were called action force. Is valaverse the same thing or a modern twist on it? Could be why they use the same figures.

Not really. Bobby Vala bought the name, but his AF is a whole now lore. He’s done some call backs with packaging but Hasbro still owns most of the figures that were created I believe.

That Valaverse figure is a great base figure. The loadout looks pretty good but that rifle is way too oversized and the visor does look like Steeler. I’s mix and match parts from Cobra Island and OG Firefly. I did something similar with Cobra Island and a Fortnite urban commando.

Gridiron stuff is great. Great company and customer care. My sole complaint is how brittle the earlier weapons are. Haven’t ordered on in about a year because I had 4 guns break. One broke in the bag I kept in a drawer with other weapons. For the money I can’t risk buying another till I see reviews saying there’s been some fix.

That’s my fear too, how do their weapons and loadouts last over time. I feel like I’m getting the mix of opinions like Valaverse, either they’re great or trash 🤷🏻‍♂️

Gridirons stuff looks good but it’s too expensive. How does there stuff cost way more then the figures we buy.

People are willing to pay and they do work on a much smaller scale, but I agree, they’re are very expensive

Gridiron stuff is really nice. If they were a little cheaper I’d have everything. The Roadblock load out on the heavy artillery is perfection. I like my classified Firefly so no need for this

I agree, price is keeping me from buying more that’s for sure. Also Roadblock Loadout will be dropping tomorrow.

I have the same loadout but placed mine on the classified firefly. In my opinion the plain non-camo chest on the classified firefly helps create a separate shoulder/jacket look with the loadout. However, Both options look good if you own one of the other.

I could certainly see that. This isn’t my load out or I may have done that, but I have a real issue changing figures around unless I have a duplicate of them, yeah I have issues lol

Can’t blame anyone for thinking that way. They hear are expensive and certainly not worth it for many people.

There's a toy shop nearby that has the cobra island Firefly.. I think I'll go get it or trade for it tomorrow. I don't want to regret it if the new one isnt awesomer

I’m with you, I only have 2 weapons from them. Sounds like more people would buy if cheaper but I don’t know his costs, I just know it keeps me from buying more and you see how much dumb crap I buy 😂

I did the same thing with the Valaverse AF figure. However, the hole for the backpack on the GIS vest doesn't line up correctly so, it looks off a bit. But, if you can put up with it, you're good. As an aside, I tried to put the Firefly head on the AF body. The hole on the head is too small.

Sadly Hasbro doesn’t keep one size for their heads, it sucks. It makes swapping much harder, but Ben between their own properties 🤦🏻‍♂️

I can’t remember of the Fortnite Havoc has a peg for the backpack.

Be careful pulling the backpack off. I bought one of the load out kits and the peg broke off when removing from the figure and stayed in the figure.

Great review. I’m just going to wait for the retro version of firefly (I think he is name only reveal, so hopefully it is this year). The Target exclusive firefly is okay, just the flak jacket is too bulky which restricts some posing. I have the Valaverse urban ops trooper and I gave him the grey gear set that they recently released. It’s not quite the same, but good enough for me and my wallet 😂 the gridiron load out looks good though.

I did the same. I used the "Security" gear set on the Urban Trooper and it looks good. I accessorized him with Grid Iron Studios Bow and Arrow which is some of a call back to Comic Book version of Firefly.

It's ok.. DEFINITELY not worth $80 maybe $20-$25 TOPS and that's AFTER calculating the time in of painting each peice..

I don’t know what you like about the classified Firefly that vest and weapon killed that figure. The figure itself looks great but a saboteur wouldn’t really want to wear a bomb removal vest. As you know he plants bombs moves quickly and needs to get to places that could be tight to access. That look doesn’t work for that character (IMO) I enjoy you videos just completely disagree about this figure.

He we can disagree on some things and still be friends 🤜🏼. So I hated the look when it was shown but when I got it in hand I really liked it. Now I’m not tired to Classified figures looking just like the O-Ring figures, so it easier for me to like it. Now I do understand what you’re saying, but it’s GI Joe, there’s a lot that never made sense lol. Also if you caught me on A Toy Kind Of Mood we discussed our top 5 most anticipated figure of 2023 and Firefly was number 1 on my list I believe. As for the weapon, not a fan of it but wasn’t even close to their worse weapon they made 😂

@@Apunkwithtoys Totally agree I myself wanted a more modern look. Firefly is my favorite Joe character I wasn’t one of the people crying because they didn’t look like the ‘’O-Rings”. I like that gridiron load out but don’t like the price at all I will get it but not at that price point. I would never tell anyone what they should like I just don’t see what you or anyone else would like about this version of Firefly. It wouldn’t be a bad look for a new cobra character the Gridiron load out would have been a great modernization for Firefly at a premium price point and it would have sold like crazy.

The load out is excellent; however, that Valaverse figure looks like a cheap knockoff. That load out would look sooo much better on the Classified Firefly.

It’s the same generic troop builder that all the AF figures are, but I do believe the loadout was made to go with the Classified Firefly.
