if I remember correctly the real world inspiration for Roadblock's Browning 50 cal is a Crazy assed physically immense Marine Rifleman/Weaponsmith in WW2 who got his hands on a couple of Browning's from an airplane. He modified one to be hand fired that he carried and used for one of the major Pacific Island Invasions. I want to say Iwo Jima? he ended up converting 6 of the things for his fellow Marines. At least a few of them were saved and are in Military Museum's. The Marine Corp is insanely proud of those guns, viewing them as perhaps the Most Marine Thing Ever.

So, the grips on the M2 machine guns are fantasy on both the 1:12 and 1:18. The 1:18 one is similar to the baby brother of the M2, the 1919 .30 caliber machine gun. The M2 had two grips side by side with a butterfly trigger between them. It would not be difficult to design a pistol style grip for the weapon that would be similar to either of the toys. The front handle could be correct for either, because the handle on the barrel free swivels around. It can be on top or bottom either one. The dual drum magazine on the M4 is a beta mag. They are useful in things like the M27 infantry automatic rifle, which is basically a heavy barreled piston driven M4 meant to replace the M249 SAW for suppressive fire. I think this is a very nice looking accessory, but not for $10 more than the figure cost. I’ll probably just give him a valaverse SAW as his heavy weapon. I have the loadout for Hawk and I was thinking of doing a repaint of his shotgun, adding some brown to it. Roadblock's loadout would look good with a repaint. Ma deuce, the tripod and ammo can should be a darker green with some black and brown accents. It would look very good.

This is an awesome set. I attached my backpack directly to his back by moving the harness down and it was a much easier and better fit. The green gun with the dual drum magazine is fully painted. I unfortunately figured that out after the barrel snapped off revealing the black base color at the break. I honestly would have preferred that gun be left out of the set to reduce the price but I am still happy with my purchase.

It’s a fifty cal. 50 caliber (ma deuce) and the box is called a magazine. Rock n roll has an M60.

I'm pretty stoked for my Beachhead and two desert ops sets (one for Dusty of course), but it's like you said: at the premium price, unless you're made of money, you're only gonna get these for figures you really love. Depending on how happy I am with the ones I ordered, I may grab one for Duke and the one for Firefly in the near future. This is a cool set for the best Classified version of Roadblock for sure. Thanks for covering some of these - kinda coincidental that I ordered mine and then I saw your Firefly review pop up!

I think I’d like it better in black even though green is more accurate to the original figure. However many of the green guns bothered me even as a kid.

Looks epic , just as I expected for the weaponry to look good on them. Giving that heavy-duty his mini gun makes more sense. Go to super action stuff they might have the right size for you

Will the bullet belt roll into the back pack?? It looks hollow on the bottom.

😂😂😂😂 pretty sure I’m the one that made you want to spend more money. I don’t think the belt does, it plugs into the side and actually sticks out, which slightly bothers me.

You can always cut a small piece of the bullet belt so it’s straight bullets coming out. Also Iv wondered if you clear coat some of the contact parts would there still be the initial paint rub with new figures and testing/switching out parts?

This is different that the one I got. The backpack had adhesive in it. No peg. Also my Ma Duce was warped and it broke. Guess they’ve had 2-3 versions of the roadblock load out.

That’s odd you mention the adhesive cause a few people have talked about that in the past but the 3 I have didn’t have any. Maybe they’ve changed their design, which I think would be better cause I don’t want that stuff on my figures.

I hate neon green weapons. (Beach Head)🤦🏾‍♂️ for $30 they could at least put some paint apps on the weapons. Some gunmetal dry brushing would have helped. Or something to at least make the details pop.

I still like the mini gun. Maybe not for him, just in general.

Man that’s some BS the guns come warped and have paint issues. As much as you pay for these you shouldn’t have to straighten them. It’s great we are getting Roadblock’s .60 cal browning, tripod and backpack but wish it had his helmet too to complete his OG loadout.

I think the collector community really shot themselves in the foot with this grid iron studios nonsense. Why would the weapons cost more than the figure? The community was so desperate to get realistic weapons that they didn't even care what the price was. And gridiron studios definitely took advantage of the situation. These kits shouldn't cost more than $10. And some of the others should be around $5. We need to stop being so thirsty and draw a line somewhere. That next load out pack is probably going to cost $50. Due to inflation of course 😒. Anyhow, carry on. Good video.👍

IMO the community needs to vote with their wallet when a giant corporation like Hasbro jacks up their prices. I'm not worried about a small Mom and Pop business like Gridiron. It looks like Gridiron invested in top of the line equipment and they are trying to pay that equipment off.

@@perceivedvelocity9914 It looks like they're using those HQ resin 3D printers. The ones that print upside down using UV lights. Actually a indi company should be cheaper and slowly raise their prices. But these new companies are taking advantage of the talking points of their small and need to sell high. What if their products was in high-quality and we payed $30 for it unknowingly. They don't even have to prove themselves to us. Large companies like Hasbro and Mattel are actually cheap compared to these indy companies.

@@perceivedvelocity9914 great idea. You got my gears turning on that one but I’m wonder if we did that to hasbro wouldn’t it dare them to stay at there high prices sense others are. I wish a lot of us collectors would do that if it would actually make light bulbs go off.
