Greta Garbo - Interview with Scott Reisfield 2006
September 18, 2005, marked the centennial of the Garbo's birth. Informal images were scarced in her grandnephew Scott Reisfield's selection from her archives.

One Exhibition was held in Germany (Frankfurt, at the Deutsches Filmmuseum) between February 6 -May 7, 2006. Reisfield and Dance gave a Press conference. Dirk Jacobs (Webmaster of Greta-Garbo.de) taped the interview and put them on his Website.
Scott Reisfield talked about:
1. The MGM history of Garbo pretty much ignores her European career.
2. She was one of the most engaging persons I have met.
3. Garbo is still fascinating.
4. What kind of Person was Greta Garbo?
5. She was very engaging and a funny person.
6. Did Greta Garbo know the writer Sven Broman?
7. Garbo has never had a good biography. They miss her personality completely.
8. She did like material things, but she was quite capable of doing something simple.
9. Where you envolved in the creation of the Montblanc pen?
10. We will license the Garbo name commercially.
Robert Dance talked about:
1. She was the face of the Century.
2. She would only allow her portraits to be taken one day per film.

It's unfortunate the cameraman did not take more shots of the Garbo portraits.
I think her relative gave some interesting information but not sure he really understood her. GG strikes me as a liberated woman who was a woman who became a breadwinner for her family. I think she saw herself in that wsy.

He seEms to be very comfortable with the details of his aunt's live.... well how to write a good bio about her if everything and persons still alive that were her friends or relatives never open, REALLY, the black box.....
