Gremlins is one of the very few franchises where I’d actually be down to see another movie.

If Joe Dante isn't involved, I'm not interested. And John, you need to see part 2 again. The reason that movie was so nuts is after countless attempts to get it made, the studio said to Joe Dante, "If you agree to make this movie we'll let you do whatever you want with no interference." The rest is cinematic history.

Would absolutely love a third but make it more like the original. Small town, scary but funny, just the atmosphere of the original is so good.

They've discussed Gremlins 3 for 20 years. I'd love to see it and they certainly continue to market the franchise. There are NECA action figures, plush, t-shirts, LEGO sets, Spirit Halloween has had Gremlins bobble-heads and mugs. So there is clearly someone buying this merchandise (I collect the figures) which equals a fanbase. I wouldn't expect Gremlins 3 to make mega money (very few films are nowadays) but if they could turn in a film on a smaller budget I think it could be profitable. You don't need huge stars as the original film proved. Zach Galligan wouldn't cost much and he could have a family now of newcomers. A few supporting people for some name recognition would be nice. Have Joe Dante direct and/or write and I'm there.

Nobody was screaming for a Top Gun 2 either. And it did incredibly well. I think people would be excited as fuck for a third Gremlins. Especially if the studio mainly uses animatronic puppets again. If there’s any movie from the 80s being revived that would be financially successful…I would say Gremlins would be at the top of the list. Almost everybody likes that movie.

@@NorthernHandle Obviously Gremlins HAS to have great special effects, I was referring to the tone being darker...Some humor of course, but more horror tone, make the Gremlins more scary.

I watched the animated series and if you haven’t you’re sleeping on a great show. The show adds a lot more to the lore and actually explains many of the plot holes such as the midnight rule. I really think you can give it a try. As for a third it needs to happen but on one condition it has to be puppets, yeah cgi to enhance but it needs to be actual puppets.

Gremlins 3 needs to be about Gizmo accidentally eats after midnight and becomes a good, albeit badass Gremlin. Part of the story is about how to revert Gizmo back into a Mogwai. Maybe list the help of those twins working in the genetics laboratory in the Clamp Center? If those actors are still alive...?

If they make a Gremlins 3 with Zach Galligan, I wonder if they can also bring back Phoebe Cates? Wasn’t the reason she retired from acting in 1994 was to focus raising her two kids she shared with husband Kevin Kline? She did make a brief comeback in 2001 starring in The Anniversary Party. She did voice her Gremlins’ character for the video game Lego Dimensions in 2015. As of right one, she owns a boutique in NYC called Blue Tree. I read she may consider returning to acting if the right opportunity comes along.

I think if they market the movie well along with a great trailer there’s a big chance this movie could once again success.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The 2nd one is more beloved to me IMHO. It's the superior Gremlins movie. It's hysterical.

Animated got 100% on rotten tomatoes so it's good. I hope we get 3rd gremlins.

I don't agree I think a Gremlins 3 would be both awesome and a big hit... And it would be easy to bring it back too! Have Zack Gilligan still own Gizmo and have there be a person who wants Gizmo cause they know what he can do and he steals him for his own purpose, and let the fun begin! :)

I saw the first episode of the animated one. And it was a fun story surprisingly. It takes place in China, and kind of delves into the history of the gremlins.

Yes, I would love to see the Gremlins on the big screen again, plus Howey Mandel has to do the voice of Gizmo, since he the original voice of Gizmo, and by the way I'm also a huge collector of marvel comics and movie nostalgia so I do in fact collect those Gremlins and Gizmo figurines. 🙂

I watched the Max animated Gremlins show, and it was a lot of fun. It's very different from the movies as it is set in China and the majority of the cast is Asian. It's worth checking out.

The 2nd is beloved by many. I've had many conversations were gremlins has come up and people always say they'd want a 3rd

Make it a prequel showing how the shop owner from first movie. Met Gizmo as a child and met someone from the animated series.

I think they should just take it to series, and treat it like the latest Chucky series. Bring back the tone of the original movie. I think they could squeeze 1-3 maybe four seasons out of it. To me a third movie this far out doesn’t make sense. At least not theatrically, maybe straight to MAX.

Gremlins without Phoebe Cates is a no for me. I don't care about mogwais.

Gremlins 1&2 are some of my favorites, but I don't know how a 3rd can work, especially cause 2 was so meta that it would be weird to do a sequel to that.

Unpopular opinion, but I think Gremlins 2 is better than 1. The slapstick humor and parody of itself is absolutely hilarious. I'm itching for a third installment, but I'd be surprised if it would be allowed to be as funny as it could be. 2024 demands politically correct comedies. Gremlins are inappropriate, sexist, violent, smokers, and drinkers (among many other things, too, lol); that shit won't fly nowadays.

No and that will likely flop. Gremlins 3 if done right will most definitely not. I believe everyone I know would go to the theater to see it. My sisters, their kids, my parents, my friends my aunts, uncles and cousins… everyone. Id bet I’m not alone in thinking that. Not too many franchises can pull from all those pools. It’s near Back to the Future level fandom.

The internet acts like a third would ruin the first two if it’s bad, like it won’t…the Animated Series wasn’t all that good but it never made me wanna forget that brilliant Christmas movie or the nutty 90s Parody sequel. I gotta say there are a lot of reactions to the original film and its sequel online, so, word of mouth would generate that interest especially for newcomers.

Yeah, for grammon's park 3 I don't remember part 2. How it ended. Yeah, long story part 340 years ago. Not that it was in the 90s. I'm honest and 70, so how can it be? 040 years ago for last time. Had we, that's not 40 years ago. For the last movie. 20 years ago, not dirty, either way still, but the one in the first one came out in 84. That's about all together for the first 130 years, so this is 20 years ago last one. But. Well my daughter, I didn't know they were part 3 cause. She's watching on April 1st 2024. She is watching and telling me about it on tanning. Government is part 3 and my daughter aint. Probably watching but stay she like it. Who's 10 years old? Set an alarm 40, sorry, she likes it, then. The ones that R20 years old, then, of course, they will. Is she like d*** i*, then? 20 old would like it. And of course, there you know what hi I guess. And that part this is see, how do they do they depend on so many Spider-Man? Movie, so why not do government movie in a good way? Bring it back it. It's been they redo so many of that. So why can I do least 4 for the in the 2048 supposed to be okay? So yeah, I can't wait to see how it goes. I'm gonna watch you and I get the instant watch. Part three

C'mon, nobody cares anymore except people in their 40s and 50s on a nostalgia kick, and even that doesn't work anymore. The whole '80s nostalgia trend was big for about 10 years but it's dead now.
