    In professional soccer, maybe. But if you play the real game, like we do in adult leagues, Sunday leagues, etc, that’s when you see that the game can get physical, clean and dirty. My brother was tackled a couple weeks ago and broke his ankle and his tibia in 2 places. It looked nasty.

    The GK missing the kick is still unforgivable and absolutely hilarious lol, but the reason he missed, I think, was that it just happened to be where the ball was once he turned his attention down field. From his perspective, especially since he was backing up, he had to have mistaken the penalty mark right there for the ball through his peripherals. Notice the whiff is right over the marker lol

    I hope the umpire actually called her out because she overran the bssepath, and not because she was "tagged" walking back to home plate. Ball in play is gone, over the wall, nothing in that glove to actually tag her with at 6:47

    The Umpire himself gave the catcher a new ball after being the only person on the diamond to give a shit in that moment about that technicality. 7:20 Seems sketchy, imo

  • @aspenrebel

    @aspenrebel

    I'm not exactly sure of the Rule, but clearly the Ump was and was explaining it to the coach. But since the girl DID NOT tag home plate, the play was still "LIVE". So the Ump gave the other team's player (catcher I think) a new ball (since the one the girl hit is over the outfield wall and no longer in play), so now this NEW ball is "in play". So the catcher tagged the girl out before she could return to home plate to step on it. So she is OUT!!

  • @aspenrebel

    @aspenrebel

    6 жыл бұрын

    There is nothing "sketchy" about it. You are required to touch all bases when you hit a home run out of the park. The girl did not do that. So once the Ump took a new ball out of his satchel and handed it to the other team's catcher, that new ball was "in play" on a still "live" play, so the runner could be tagged out.

    When I was in YMCA league in like 6th grade, my buddy Jack hit a HR. We had 4 fields that went back to back and there was a small patch between the four fields that was the area behind the outfield wall for all four fields. He hit it in there. The ump ruled it a ground rule double because "we cant get the ball back." It's over the fence and we had 20 balls! And there was a gate to access that area!

    I don't play softball or baseball, but what seemed sketchy to me was that it seemed like it was the umpire who made the play, not the catcher. As soon as he saw that she didn't tag the base he turned to the catcher and placed the ball in her glove and seems to have said something to her or motioned to clue the catcher into the fact that she didn't touch the base. She didn't seem to notice it on her own. Almost seems like collusion.

  • @pball1331

    When she fails to touch each base (including home plate) in order when advancing or returning to a base. Either the runner or the missed base may be tagged. If it is a homerun - The team can appeal to the ump and get a ball.

    for those of you truly wondering, at 3:47 the fail where the basketball player saves the ball but throws it in his own basket. The announcers mention being behind the line and it possibly being three points, any ball that is blocked, thrown, passed into your own basket is not considered a try or attempt and is not eligible to be 3 points. Essentially, you have to be trying to put it in your own basket to get a 3 pointer, any shot at your hoop is not legally or statistically considered a shot attempt.

    In the softball game, at around the 6:50 mark, the Alabama player did jump over the plate and it was noted by the umpire. The same thing happens in Major League Baseball. The Umpire isn't allowed to point out the missed base, but if a team member sees it happen, can tag the runner out. If the missed base isn't noticed by either team, the play stands.

    Man you’re exactly right. Her hand was not saying: “I love this home run.” It was saying: “I love this ass.” It’s especially the last touch of her ass. Because she touches a couple different regions, then goes a little lower and cups her bottom. Classic “cop a feel.” I wonder if in the recipient’s mind she’s thinking: “Gosh, Meghan is always finding an excuse to touch my ass.”
