I'm guessing 77 was reamed out at some earlier time for jumping early and the coach told him something like, "If you jump before the snap count again, I'm gonna put you on the practice squad!" The player might have said, "I saw the center twitch. I thought he snapped it." Coach yells, "You go on the COUNT, not when you THINK the ball is snapped. GOT IT??? You should've learned that in HIGH SCHOOL!!" This guy's attitude was, "Okay, coach, I got it!" Had to be something like that.

The running the wrong way play was more funny that it initially appears since the defenders shouldn't have tackled him, but did just as though he were on his way to a touchdown. They let him run all the way in (or down into the red zone somewhere) they at least would have fully flipped the field.
