My Grandpa loved this beef caldo, which is unlike most other caldos I see. my Grandma usually had a pot of beans on with this, which I didn't make, but her tortillas were always there, which I'm including on patreon.

Beautiful tribute! I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my grandmother last year, and I've been trying to fix many of the dishes that she used to. This video makes me think of what she used to fix for my grandfather.

I was in HS back in the early '80s when my parents let me take private trumpet lessons at the university. My teacher surprised me with tickets to see Maynard Ferguson. Little did I know, but your grandpa's influence was there. I can see his impact on your life. Isn't it wonderful how food can elicit such strong emotions... and memories? Food really is the great equalizer. If Maynard was playing that trumpet with the upturned bell, Grandpa invented that. It's called a Firebird.
