Beautiful steel case and gorgeous gloss lacquer black dial, quite a rare heartthrob this Grand Seiko.

Got mine a month ago solid performance. The ultimate grab and go watch that just happens to track two time zones and will never let you down.

The details GS does are amazing. Especially the markers , hands and dials

I like the Zulu but the finishing on this is just so so nice and cosc auto is still a few seconds a day while this is a few seconds a year

I really like this watch, but damn GS. A center pinion cover at this price tag should be included. Also, its rough to pay this much when the citizen quartz models have solar, perpetual calender, pinion cover, full titanium and +- 5 sec accuracy a year for the same price.

In the meanwhile i bought a GS SBGX295 and a The Citizen AQ4100-57L. From a price perspective they are about equal. In terms of finishing they're also about equal. So, all things considered i definitely got a lot more out of the citizen in terms of value for money. But i admit, the GS feels more special from an emotional perspective, which is due to their branding and marketing effect. Cold facts the citizen wins hands down. Accuracy, materials, solar etc. Ill be keeping both watches though, i like having the two rivals from japan in my watchbox.

Think I prefer it to the 4.30 position though… my concern is more the 4pm crown position. To me crowns should all be at 3.

What people dont notice is the date wheel is an off white that clashes with the pure bright white gmt hour hand. The crown is fantastic on this model, you rarely need to engage it anyways and pays homage to history.
