I’m loving this style GS went for, that black and yellow with the unique style of polish is just beautiful. I’m surprised to see so many GS watches on the thick side but it really doesn’t bother me. I actually like it.

GS had a special edition quartz in the past with a display case back, they should do that again.

I just wish they wouldn't throw the Grand Seiko logo on top of the see-through case back.

Very cool piece. Too thick for a quartz, but still manageable

we should call this one "the Bruce Lee" because of that yellow and black!

I dont know if it's just the polished top side of the lugs but the bracelet seems to have a different tone of stainless steel used compared to the case

GS can pump out as many "limited editions" as they can sell. Keeps the second-hand market from going insane. If I ever acquire a GS, it's going to be a pre-owned 9F!

Ironically, I think it’s actually helping me get over FOMO and buy what I actually want, since there will always be another LE and hype is far less of a consideration. I just bought the SLGA009 Spring Drive White Birch, which is a regular production model. It wasn’t quite so well received when it was first announced on Jan. 10th.

Good choice on the 9F. I've now owned my SBGN005 GMT for a little over a year, and it's a standard 9F (+/-10 seconds per year). However, after the year of ownership, it deviated only -2 seconds since setting it exactly to the atomic clock. Perfect grab-&-go pieces.

200m WR and tall hand stack because of the GMT and prominent dial markers, not a problem unless you have sparrow's wrists

@@SampleTracks2224 Yeah I don't think so. I have a 200m Damasko that's 9.9mm thick and a GMT Master 2 with 100m is just over 12mm. When I see a watch that is overly thick its appears to me as a sign of lazy engineering or misplaced priorities. You can just look at this watch and there are several places the height could be reduced, caseback, magic lever could be uni-directional, crystal, there is room for improvement here. And GS knows this, they know that's a priority for most people and they are doing things now to fix it. Lake Suwa is a good example. This is of course just my slightly educated opinion. No offense is meant, its just a fun hobby.

I'm a huge GS fan but my god, they need to slow down the production of limited editions. Far to many.

People trying to buy watches as investments. Which never makes sense.
