I’m a Stern show fan and a Grace fan, but this was awful. I’m sure Howard would be very embarrassed to hear this. In recent years, he has been critical of this style of guest interaction and has said that he regrets it. Would like to hear him interview her today, as his interview style is 1000 times better than it was in the 80’s/90’s and he is especially good at interviewing rock legends.

Howard's interview style is very much like Russell Brand's here. Essentially, he is forcing Grace to give him massive amounts of attention. He has evolved since then but by very little. He is smart and fearless, though, which have gotten him far. Grace is a powerhouse. An incredible human being. Too cool for words, really...

Yes, he was obnoxious and untasteful at times. But even Grace defended his style at 19:14. I don't think it was humiliating because it was brought-up as a joke by her own daughter, who also encouraged her to go for it. This was a weird interview. But by the end I got it, they are weird people. And that's what makes it awesome!

Let's make this about me for just a moment and then I can recede into the musical shadows. I glommed onto their music around 1969. I don't even care much for the two biggest pop hits she sang . . . yet I've been over the Moon (ME, OVER THE MOON, ALICE ! ) about her many other songs. Songs that were so, SO creative . . . yes, the Airplane & Starship were singing radical songs part of the time; other times it was the best love & peace hippie music; and other times they made science fiction, and other times, the greatest art that's hard to label.

I tried to make it to the end of the interview but I had to bail ...it just became too painful to watch anymore.

@ Caprise Adams Marty was extremely jealous of Grace. When the original female singer in the Airplane Signe Andersen left the band, he did not want Grace to replace her. The rest of the band wisely wanted her for her fabulous voice and extreme charisma.

Me da la impresión que a Grace no le gustó en absoluto cuando Stern le dio de palmadas en el culo. Ella se levanta inmediatamente.
