​@@spikemurphy5054It's a combination of both. The show actually greatly exaggerates Gordon's anger but it's been shown in the British version of the shows he does that he's actually way more chill. They only air his angry clips because that's what gets them views, and that's what he's famous for. Gordon himself is actually very kind for taking time out of his life for helping these businesses. The reason the show was cancelled was because Gordon hit his breaking point after a particularly selfish owner, and he felt it wasn't helping any businesses after all, and for that I sympathize for him.

The success mostly lasted for around a year. Then Rico decided to part ways with Abby and sell the Downcity to recover his lost finances of over a million dollars. They went their separate ways, and Abby became a Personal Trainer for a time, before moving on to manage an interior decorating company. Rico now runs the Mortgage and Finance business he worked for.

Update: Gordon did a revisit and business was up by 30%. However the restaurant closed in 2011 due to the economy at the time. Abby now works a personal fitness trainer in Rhode Island and Rico has climbed the ladder in his finance career.

@@am5790 with knowing how tough it is to keep a restaurant open even at the best of times is, 16% is actually fairly high when you consider MOST of these failing businesses are a quarter of a million or more in debt. If nothing else he lowers the toll the owners take sometimes WHEN they stick to his advice. It's not always that easy as the deals with markets or fishmonger or farmers he makes for their business likely won't last too long once he's gone and some of the product he pushes for menus can be hard to sustain while that far in debt. But he's definitely a good person for at least trying to help.

According to loads of restaurants on this show ramsay only time he interacts or is in the restaurant is when hes on camera so only time he does anything is when they are filming, Like he wont go in during the week when cameras are off and do anything including the relaunch cooked food they try is from chefs he hired.

13 mins in I love how the staff just sit around her and actually ask her if she's okay, does she want tea. They seem genuinely nice. Sarcastic at times but they are nice people. And when they raise their complaints, they're using soft voices. They know their boss and even though the boss is still in denial, the staff is just gracious.

Yeah I agree, the staff are so kind, pure and gracious, it's sad that they have to put up with constant abuse from Abby, and Abby knows that she can get away with it cause her staff need a job, Abby is a horrible person and is going to be alone her whole life cause no one will want to be around her negativity, she's toxic to the core and her staff deserve to be treated so much better than they do

You can't be aggressive towards a person in denial. They will just put on more denying armour. However it was incredible how she really changed because the first half of the episode she really was an angry bitch in denial, like that wasn't acting, that was really a person in need of therapy.

@@Leona17 I've noticed that his default attitude to the waiters is always respectful. He knows that they already know where the problems are. In fact a lot of the restaurants he helped could have stopped the rot long before by actually listening to their staff.

Yeah I really felt for him, that was his biz partner and he spoke to her countless times about her defensive stubbornness but she wouldn't change and admit she was wrong, and he couldn't afford to lose her. Bet the guy works hard and respect him, felt bad for his situ too.

@@StanJamrogthe only time we fired a customer at my restaurant is if they were verbally abusive to staff and a few who sexually harassed all of us women at the bar. Sometimes you have to fire customers but not if they disagree with you or dislike their meal.
