lol something similar happened to me in high school (it wasn't directed at me, but I got to witness it) There was this girl in our class who no one really liked, because she was a know-it-all who could never be wrong, even when she was called on it. Giovanni was definitely very kind. However, they applied to be on a show with one of the worlds most famous chef, knowing his reputation and passion for his art. At this point, they should EXPECT to be scolded because they need to be above par. Ego and pride doesn’t get you anywhere, humility does. Lacey had not an ounce of humility. The best chefs - the best PEOPLE in general - can recognize when they aren’t putting in the effort required for the situation and WANT to be corrected so they can learn and be better and grow as people.

Trust me beef is a type of meat you get frustrated cooking. The beef is diff. from the pork meat and chicken because the longer you cook meat the firmer and dryer it get thats why the chef need to keep on the level where meat is still moist while is nicely cook.

I genuinely believe that this is the most deeply angry Gordon has ever been on the show. I’ve never seen him chase somebody into the storage and say “leave Hell’s Kitchen” formally. He must have been fuming.

@@zstrode.8953 Some countries yes some no. In my country we don't have hot lunch we take our lunch from home. We just eat a loaf of bread with peanut butter, cheese, ham or Nutella. For us hot lunch is not the standard they find it odd here. BTW I live in the Netherlands if you don't know it our capital is Amsterdam.

@@theandrewloeffler it depends which country you are talking about Mediterranean countries tend to find lunch more important and eat a meal. Dinner is also later on the day than compared north Western European countries. In the Netherlands for example we don't have a long dinner break mostly 30 minutes and we eat cold food. It is very boring the food we eat for lunch. And dinner is between 5 and 6 and we only have 1 hot meal a day. I don't know anything about eastern Europe so I can't talk for them. Our breakfast is often the same as lunch we eat a simple sandwich with nothing fancy. Sorry but I hate to eat sandwich everyday. When I was in Shanghai China we had hot lunches that was so nice and it is not seen as strange because there are a lot of food stalls and there are a lot of people eating outside. If you see white people blond hair with sandwiches in a breadbox we call it a broodtrommel. They are most likely dutch because we don't like to spend money on food.

Lacey's problem was her attitude and lack of confidence and fightback. During the 2nd dinner service she did pretty good but got nominated despite being above average because the red team except for Ji had already given up on her. The blue team actually gave her encouragement and boosted her confidence and had a great service but after that she completely fell apart again and lost the blue team's support.

Pomme fondant is specialized potatoes. The reason why it's so important he doesn't Blanchett is because that's like using salt instead of sugar because it's similar. Blanching it basically means burning it and sucking out all the flavor using water and he basically made a cooked garbage mess. You can a Blanche other recipes but it's not meant to be done for the amount of time you deal with with this buttering potato. Long story short he majorly fucked up

First of all, I'm sure most of them are actually decent cooks, but it's known that the producers of the show overload them on purpose, give them impossible time limits or switch out their ingredients in order to add conflict and "drama".
