Video Overview:
In this video I will be comparing three popular affordable skincare brands: The Ordinary vs. The Inkey List vs. Good Molecules. I’ll be reviewing some of their most popular serums and treatments like Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acids like Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid, Beta Hydroxy Acids like Salicylic Acid, and Vitamin C. I talk through the ingredients in each skincare product, how the formulations compare, and which skin types it may be best for: Dry Skin Oily Skin, Acne-Prone Skin, and Sensitive Skin.

I found this video super helpful, thank you. Hope you keep making these comparison videos! ❤️
Awesome video! I would love to see the continuation of product comparison instead of just good molecules alone. I feel like looking at all 3 together is more beneficial when trying to choose the best product available from each brand ;)
Yessssss..... Pls make a review of good molecules......good video
Yesssss please do a video on GM I love them so much! I would love your perspective.
Yes please make a video about serums piling and how to avoid it. Thank you. Love your videos keep them coming.

I've used Good Molecules and The Ordinary niacinamide serums and think they are both excellent on my semi-delicate skin. The Inkey List containers are smart at protecting the actives. TO ascorbic acid products irritated my skin. Yes please, review other items from these three great companies.
Damn. I literally asked u to make this video a while ago. So excited ❗️

Ohhhh YES. I have things I love from all 3 of these places! Would love more GM content from you
Great video! I love the comparisons. Please do more.
Thank you! I have "older" skin care and have been using the Ordinary! When I'm done with that I'll find Inky List
I loved this video! I recently moved to the US and I'm getting familiar with affordable skincare brands, so I really appreciate this comparison! ❤️
I'd love a video about how to avoid the foaming and pilling with these less sophisticated formulations. Thank you!

The purpose of the ingredients is to peel or remove dead and dry skin which causes pilling. I'm not sure you would want to decrease that or the ingredients would be less effective.
@wench8291
2 жыл бұрын
@@tracywofford3384 lol no. This comment is referring to when your products form little balls on your skin as their being applied. This is pretty common in these cost effective skincare formulations, especially when layering with multiple products. It actually does negatively effect the efficacy & absorption of the product. Also, you wouldn’t really notice an instant flaking of the skin with most OTC actives, even exfoliating ones like AHAs or retinoids. Maybe you would experience this with a mechanical exfoliant but even that is not super likely unless you have a thick layer of dead skin like what’s commonly found on your body. 🤷🏽♀️
Keep using Fluffy lol would love a full review on Good Molecules :)
Thx Abbey! You're my go to girl for skincare reviews. Appreciate you. Happy new year :)

Been loving all of your vids Abbey!!
Abbey, i cant wait to see you hit 100k on here. Because you deserve it forsure!! I feel like your channel is a little under rated. I watch alot of your videos. Its obvious on how much time, effort, energy, money, etc you put into your videos just to help all of us out on skincare/makeup tips. You always give your subscribers the information that they want and you always answer our questions, ETC. I dont think alot of people know how long it takes to flim/ review/ edit a video... I know it takes atleast 5-7 hours and sometimes longer depending on the video your doing. Just know that we all appreciate you..❤😊 Also, Thanks to you i do NOT use makeup wipes anymore, and i use SPF everyday no matter what!! 😊❤🙌

More viscous...instead of using the word fluffy? Is that fitting to what you mean? Also, derma e has a salicylic acid serum..it’s called their Acne Blemish Control Serum. Coming from someone with dry, sensitive skin, it works well for me and has helped a lot with maskne!
I just found your channel, I am loving it so informative. I have been thinking about the ordinaries aha/bha blood serum (hah thats just what ill call it) but I have quite sensitive skin, and I reacted to their 7% glycolic acid (now I have heard that the ordinaries ph on their product isnt always the best so I am not giving up on glycolic acid since its a good product for ant aging. Now I use the glycolic 7% on my chest which I have no problem with at all. I do have the slightest bit of sunspots, I am in my early 20s so its not that bad but I am thinking treating the little that I have as well as preventing it might be easier then starting to treat it when its very bad. Now do you think that the aha/bha blood serum would help with sunspots, I am thinking its similar to hyperpigmentation so it should be good right? Sorry for such a long comment...
I have never used a chemical exfoliant before but I’m looking to introduce it to my routine. I have normal to oily skin, I do get blemishes, and I also have blackheads. I’m not really aware of how sensitive my skin is because I haven’t used products like this before. What exfoliant would you personally recommend?? (I’ve read that BHAs are best for the skin I have but a lot of people recommend starting off with an AHA like lactic acid so I’m torn!)💖💖
Would love good molecules line review and drunken elephant!
What about a video of how often to apply all of these (like daily?), when to apply, and in what order? Thank you for these videos. Happy to have found your channel 😊
Can you do a review on the timeless serum and sunscreen peeling when you pair them
Please do Part2 !!

It did NOT agree with my skin! It was awful! Idk what was in it that did that, I've used all the main ingredients before. I have searched quite a bit for anyone else that had a similar experience and I've only found 1 other. The rest were basically good reviews, or at least no bad reaction like mine.
such perfect timing..looking for a exfoliate to use in between my PC BHA..just don't understand why using Niacinamde from PC is always sticky on my skin, so I don't end up using it very much..
Great video. I think the word you’re looking for is that the thicker ones are more viscous. Just found your channel and subbed right away.
Can you use all these products on the same day? What kind of order would you apply them? New to skin care. thanks for the helpful information!
I'm SUPER late here but I love this video. I hate to say it but I'm ALL about these affordable skincare lines. Just because you spend more money you're not necessarily getting the benefit you THINK you are.
how do you feel about the inkylist vitamin c vs timeless vit. c?
Abbey! I’ve had the hardest time with hormonal breakouts and I believe some break outs as a result of retinol (not irritation maybe just purging). So I’ve been wanting and trying to introduce bha but I’ve been scared because my skin is dry. It’s not sensitive, I can handle pretty high %’s of actives but I’m afraid to compromise my skin barrier. All I’ve started so far is the Laroche posay medicated cleanser in the morning and leave it on for a few mins and maybe once every few weeks the ordinary aha/bha mask. Do you think the inkey list bha serum is something that a dry skin girl with break outs could use and what would be a good idea on how many days to start off if so? Much love!!

Hey guys!!! I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy!!! I love her so much, she helped me a lot!!! And her energy always so positive is amazing!! I have a question is there any difference/benefit in using sunscreen spf 30 or 50? Thank you so much!!!🤗😊

@@AbbeyYung oh really? So to use spf 30 is ok, instead spf 50? Because I can't find one spf 50 that suits my skin, all that I tried are grease and they take a lot of time ro absorve into the skin, even thought my skin is normally dry...🥺
Compare all the companies with each like product. Retinol video, vitamin C video etc… I’m curious about the hair products in each as well. Manes by Mel did a review that started to peak my interest. Of course do what is best for you. I’m just putting in my 2 ¢. Thank you
Right now Sephora has free shipping going on. But check details.
I switched to the inkey list niacinamide serum in November after using the ordinary’s niacinamide. I just didn’t feel like I was getting the results from TO that everyone was raving about so I found the inkey list did my research and even tho people said drier skin types preferred inkey list (I’m very oily) I still decided to go for it and it’s been so much better than TO. I’m not sure if it’s because they have more ingredients that are good for the skin or if it was the zinc in TO but I’ve been really loving the inkey list. I’ve recently been thinking about stepping into the chemical exfoliant world so I’m looking at the inkey list’s exfoliators

@@memoonasaeed4408 I don't think the Ordinary was harsh on my skin maybe a little irritating but I just wasn't seeing the results that everyone was raving about so I found and switched to the Inkey List one. You might try that and see if it works better. It's got some more moisturizing ingredients than The Ordinary's that could help with your dry skin.

I also didn't care for TO niacinamide while I like The Inkey List Niacinamide. but I believe one of the best chemical exfoliators for someone who wants to start the exfoliator journey is TO Lactic Acid Serum. I have very sensitive, combo skin and I started with TO Lactic Acid 10%. it never irritated my skin, also I had great results with it(for me it feels a bit hydrating not harsh, it made my skin glow and helped me get rid of my dry patches). so I recommend you to consider trying TO Lactic Acid even if you didn't like it's other products

Hi Abbey?!... just a quick question?... don't you think that ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide are everywhere ?🤔.. I mean, many products have already these ingredients included in their formulations...I guess, I just wonder if we really need any extra serum in a routine???anyway, the inkey list has,in my opinion, better formulations...and like you, I also prefer the gel consistency in products...have you ever tried PHA'S???...sorry, I just realized you have used PHA'S...🤣... great review again!!!

I just received the Inky list niacinamide and am trying to figure out how to layer it in my morning routine. I have dry skin. So I use a Vitamin C and Lactic acid and a CoQ10 serum and moisturizer and sunscreen so I assume I would use Niacinamide after Vit C and Lactic acid and before CoQ10?

Just curious - had anyone else found luck using the ordinary dropper on their inkey list bottles? I found one of my TO droppers fits on my IL Q10 serum bottle, but am not sure if that's common to all the inkey list 1oz bottles. while what you’re saying is 100% true you get faster results using it in a more potent situation which is why the standalone serums exist.
