The Inkey List Niacinamide or The Ordinary Niacinamide

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Which is better The Inkey List Niacinamide or The Ordinary Niacinamide?
It depends on your skin type and any secondary skin concern you may have.
Both options offer affordable skincare for acne prone skin. Both brands of Niacinamide will improve skin tone and texture, hyperpigmentation, acne, rosacea, fine lines, and skin dullness.
The Inkey is formulated with fatty acids in skincare that help hyperpigmentation.
The Ordinary is lighter weight and better suited for Oily Skin types.
Apply after using an oil skin face wash. The Inkey list is formulated with soothing ingredients to further calm irritation, sensitive skin, rosacea skin. Enjoy this video as we review skin care routines dermatologist approved!
I know there are new options for the ordinary skincare niacinamide but I highly recommend going with this version of Niacinamide Serum vs the ordinary niacinamide powder!

The Inkey List is my favourite. It’s well rounded and my skin loves it. I got The Ordinary’s as well but my skin reacted to it. I can handle it now but it took me some time and when I use it, I’m very careful and I only use a small drop of it (I use up to three small drops of The Inkey List niacinamide). But both are good, affordable products. I love them.

Hi Dr. Stephens I am so happy to have found your channel. I'm 31 years old and I'm currently suffering with a lot hyperpigmentation and acne, which I believes is a result of the mask requirement. The Obagi system has recently been recommend to me (which contain 4% hydroquinone). I've been using the system for a week now and I see some results. The dark marks and scars are lightening, but I'm also seeing some peeling and small white head type pimples in that same area. I'm not sure if its hydroquinone is a product that I should be using due to working in the sun for at least 12+ hours most days as a police officer. Thanks in advance.

Wow mind blown. So I was unable to tolerate Ordinary's aha/bha peel and stopped using it. But my skin didn't feel like it was getting the exfoliation it needed from the mandelic acid, and I was using it frequently probably to the point of wasting it. Around the same time, I started the mandelic, about a month ago I also started their niacinamide + zinc. Well, yesterday I tried the aha/bha again. I used to only be able to leave it on a few minutes, last time I just couldn't keep it on at all. Rinsing it off in seconds. Mind you I was still using manual exfoliation with a silicone electric scrubber on a couple of days, so I also stopped using that. Yesterday, when I put the aha/bha on I, forgot it was on. I had no burning sensation at all. I had no idea what was happening until I watched the video today. She's right, if you have trouble tolerating acids, this is the one. I am starting retinol in the evening too this week and chucking the mandelic. I'm just not feeling it...or use as a lip exfoliant..dunno...maybe it was the wrong time for that active but i was just so meh to annoyed with it. And even though I really messed up with retinol and acids and burned myself years ago, i know not to use them at the same time now. Older, wiser, and tired of zits lol. I think retinol is an advanced skincare ingredient. You gotta use it just right or you can mess yourself up. Anyway, I'm glad that I am starting the retinol after the niacinamide now after seeing this video.

But it does get rid of my closed comedones reallly well.

I just use the ordinary because it’s the cheapest out of the two and most affordable for my student budget (even though their products are so small) Well at least here in the Canadian Sephora’s.

Great video! Could you review the new Elf moisturizers that are fragrance free? I also think they have a humectant gel that’s similar to the hydro boost water gel.

Thank you Dr Alexis.. Ive been using The Inkey List Niacinamide for dry acne prone skin and my skin is loving it straight away. Spots are healing and improved texture. I believe it will help my acne scarring along with the faded cream and Paulas Choice Omega+ complex moisturiser 😊

Hi Dr Alexis, I love all of your informative videos!!!! Hormonal acne with hyperpigmentation. Can I/should I use the inky list niacinamide or not since it has soybean oil in it???? I hear soybean oil and hormonal acne isn’t a good combination. Please help. Thank you!!!

This was so informative and thorough. Can you please review BLACK girl and Versed sunscreen? I am of the darker hue and dont wear make up. Making it extremely difficult to combat the Cast/Ash that mineral sunscreens leave. However, ive been indoctrinated to believe that Chemical sunscreen that in most instances are not healthy for skin in the long run but are less expensive. The trial and error of finding a mineral sunscreen that is viable for my skin is becoming financially unbearable.

I am really enjoying your channel. Keep up the good work. I am currently nursing and so good to know that I can use niacinamide acid? as I have been so overly cautious and paranoid. Done lots of research but not conclusive but so reassuring that I can use it 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Many thanks
