Goldeneye was one of my fav games growing up and I still rank it highly and this was one of the most accurate trailers you've ever done

You forget the guy that knows all the spawns and insta kills you everytime in a 1on1.

You had to manual aim at the lock in the Dam level.

1) Doom came out years before Goldeneye, so yeah. It probably was more advanced, but better? No. Goldeneye didn't invent the FPS genre, so it couldn't possibly be better, and I'm saying that as someone who LOVED Goldeneye. 2) Even with manual aim the N64 was not known for fluid control. 3) I find the fact your criticize anyone while you have an Overhype, I mean, Overwatch avatar. Especially that of D. Va to be incredibly funny.

I remember the controller...when I got the N64, back when they were new, I thought, "what the fuck is this...?" It is the weirdest/stupidest shaped controller ever made so far...my favorite controller is the playstation controller.

I replayed this game last year when all I had was a 20" tv. It's still playable and still awesome.

The spazing out character models and vehicles was what happened if you tilted the cartridge while playing, not a cheat.

Yep, unfortunately I live in area with no good WiFi service. So I can’t play anything these days because of all the downloads and updates. Sort of ruined my gaming experience. Why can’t everything already be on the disc?

25 years later and this game is still so memorable The soundtrack, the first person shooter mode, and the collection of weapons are so fun This and Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart made the 90s!

You basically didn't. The game had a measure of autoaim. If you tried aiming with your C button you could enjoy losing 90% of your HP within seconds or you were targetting something far away.

+Garth Palmer those of us who knew better used the 1.2 control style, which means you're aiming the analog stick instead. the movement is mapped to the C buttons instead, which is fine, because even if you're using a keyboard and mouse, you're still using buttons for movement.

If it hasn't been said already, the exploding car in the "train level" was on purpose, it was a homage to an earlier Bond movie. Awesome video.

Unpopular opinion: Even though I recognize how influential this game is, it's really aged terribly. Not even just the graphics, but the mechanics and the multiplayer. The multiplayer maps are ripped straight from the campaign, and it's obvious they weren't designed for the competitive play. For being one of the most iconic multiplayer FPS ever, it feels super tacked-on.

That's because it was tacked on, like, at the last minute (www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/14/goldeneye-007-almost-didnt-have-multiplayer). And yet, it still managed to provide countless hours of fun for my friends and me back in the day. And honestly, I still play the single player mode from time to time. I'm not even an FPS person, but this one is a classic for me.

1:57 That's the famous Geddan, popularized by the glitch you see there, but it's not done with cheats, it's done by tilting the cartridge, and gives you no advantage whatsoever, it just looks funny as all hell.
