Going Vegan To Keep Cancer In Remission: "Broccoli Rob" Klein | The Exam Room Podcast

Ойын-сауық

Robert Klein came face-to-face with his mortality. The young father had been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
After a painful surgery he felt more needed to be done to help prevent the deadly disease from ever returning. The foodie from New York then made the what could be the hardest decision of his life. The steak and pizza aficionado radically changed his diet and became vegan. At one point it was unthinkable, but years later with his cancer still in remission he proudly boasts the nickname of "Broccoli Rob."
Along the way he's discovered two things: he can still enjoy pizza and that he loves to run! He's competed in the New York City Marathon and become a master of ordering the perfect vegan pizza in a city where those pies are legendary.

I am a 6 year stage 3b aggressive cancer survivor in Uk. Had 2 large tumours & 7 lymph nodes removed leaving me with mild lymphodema. Made the decision to go plant based in my hospital bed. Not offered Chemo as it wouldn't work (they said) and under UK rules I would only be offered immunotherapy when i reached stage 4. Did 3 mths strict juicing enema routine but had to stop as the detox symptoms were so extreme. At same time my mother died sister died and brother in law died of covid....Managing 3 estates. Been plant based this whole time. Well done Broccolli Rob!!!! Inspirational!!!!

Been 'whole food plant based' for 7 yrs. now, one of the best things I've ever done. Cholesterol, blood pressure, AC1 all from high to normal. Lost 25 lbs. Feel great at 63. My skin is clear, have barely any wrinkles & my hair is still dark brown. I do kind of attribute this to my diet.

Rob's theory on the cause of his cancer may well be correct. His mother's eggs could have formed when she was in utero and been affected by that drug, so that's how a grandparent can affect several generations on.

Eating broccoli seems a lot easier than that surgery. The moral of the story is to eat your veggies like your balls depend on it.

How do you become a food for life instructor?

@belindaknowles7440 I was actually interested in doing that a while back. I think you can contact Physician's Committee in Washington DC. I remember watching a episode of PC and Chuck said how you become a instructor but I forgot the specific details. I think there's a course or something. I'm not a good speaker in front of people. I get a lot anxiety. Other wise I would give it a try. Hope this helps. Have a blessed day.
