Actually, in the league, most of the players don't get payed to play. In that red team (Mendiola FC 1991), most of the players there play for free, and only some of those players get paid, mainly because of the lack of popularity and support of the Philippines Football League. In fact, in this league (which is composed of 14 teams currently), only 3 teams pay salaries to all players, and fewer teams pay salary to some players. So while it may seem heartbreaking at first, no team in this league probably even have enough money for clean sheet clauses, but your point still stands, and I also would be heartbroken if my clean sheet goes to waste like this.

Thanks for the insight. Always curious about the situation with leagues I'm not familiar with. I'm assuming Kaya is one of the clubs where player's are paid? I'm assuming Kaya is one of the clubs actually paying players considering they are on top of the table?

Shutouts/clean sheets are a shot stopper’s bread and butter. Nevermind the silly stats, that pundits use about passes and pass accuracy for keepers. No need to look further than United’s Onana as a case study.

What do the yellow team do wrong exactly? The referee drops the ball at the red defender's feet, he can do whatever he wants with it including pass it back to the goalkeeper. If you're losing 3-0 with ten minutes to go, what difference does it make if the goalkeeper has it in his hands or not? Pathetic play.

Obviously the red club didn't get this play right at all. But on the flip side if you are up 3-0 with ten minutes to go do you really need to go a poach another goal like this off a drop ball?

This happened in a futsal national tournament I played as a kid. One of them was injured so I throw the ball out but after that, instead of giving the ball back, they score. There was a HUGE discussion. We refused to keep playing and evetually they scored an OWN GOAL and the match continued. This was one of the 3-way matches to get to the final and ended up in a tie and we got through on goal average. We then lost the spanish national tournament on the final. Not a very fun fact: the final was the ONLY match we lost that year. We won every single competition except the most important one D:

There's this weird global phenomenon where different parts of the world have different names for the same thing. Often times there's such a big difference that it's actually called a "different language". But it's also common for users of the same native tongue to differ on what they name something based on the location of their upbringing. Again, I know its a very difficult concept to comprehend but just thought you should be aware.
