Yeah how no one on the red team beat the shit out of that goalie is insane to me. Genuinely two of the most cynical tackles you’ll ever see lol.

That's one of the most shocking tackles I've ever seen in any sport. That's a leg breaker. That striker is so lucky. Reds were constantly attacked all match so I wouldn't blame any players for retaliating.

This reminds me of my hockey friend who actually goes crazy with the fouls whenever he plays football (soccer) because he doesn't know what is a foul and what is not. He'll try to slap the ball out of your hand and just hit you if you get save. The worst hes done is probably slide tackle me even though the ball was nowhere near.

Well, this game is in Canada.

As a defender who is short i love physical play really sets the tone for your opposition however, big difference between physical and malicious and that goal keeper has no right being on any kind if field.

50/50 between the goalie and the ref who could have avoided the whole thing with a red one on the first tackle I'm very glad I play with a very close group of friends, that assault at 9:20 would have started a huge brawl with my whole team

Goalie totally deserved a red on the first tackle. But even a mere yellow would have probably stopped him from doing it again. But since the referee didn't give him anything, the guy felt he could do it again in impunity...

pre match for me was drinking a couple of beers before the game or literally just turn up still drunk from the night before and playing in goal

You learn real quickly what to do or not to do while playing in the streets. You come out with both legs first and studs up while the ball already passed you by. That’s an instant ass kicking.

That is genuinely shocking from that goalie. He clearly got fed up and wanted to injure someone

IST is a great channel. That keeper is insane! 🤣 EDIT: Also, the only person worse than the keeper was the ref.... 😮

That challenge was dirty by the keeper. If I was the opposing keeper I would’ve been sprinting down the field to get into his face for that one.

If that tackle had been in a game I played in they would have needed an ambulance for the keeper.

If this was Sunday league in the Uk that keeper would be eating through a straw after that 1st challenge

The worst part is, this isn’t Sunday league. I am a referee in Toronto, Canada (where this game was). This is a league that falls between Sunday league and semi-pro. I can confirm that there is lots of drama in this league. This goalie was absolutely shocking though….worst I’ve ever seen in this league

Saw this and omg that keeper was just an insane drop kick going out of his way to try and break someone’s leg

the Americans are getting into the Sunday league, the goalkeeper first challenge is a sending off and he might get a kicking after the whistle is blown. The second challenge is a out and out fight which might involve all the players on the pitch and the substitutes and the friends that came to watch.

I'm watching this while injured but mine wasn't from some crazy, middle-aged man who enjoys hurting people. If something like this happened to one of our players there would be so much more violence and shouting, and we're U15

Been in 5 teams by moving a lot to diff cities, anyways I do have to be honest that when I was around 14-15 age my team was the most violent lol. Now I’m U19 and our players here in Italy are such nice puppies haha. They don’t bite

Ngl if I were one of the eagles I and saw dude do that even once but twice. I’m not yelling at the player I’m going straight over to the reff and saying: “this is what happens when you don’t control the match properly. If someone gets hurt it’s on you for not taking care of it before.”

tbf i play sunday league for fun and it is really fun honestly, during off-season my friends ask me to play with them and i do. of course i still practice and keep up with sessions but it’s a good little practice to not get out of real game scenarios. But there is actually some real good players in sunday league Edit: watched the video and wow. he could’ve legit broken his ENTIRE leg with that man.

You have a point, but imagine your career ending because some fat middle aged goalie goes studs first straight to your ankles.

For everyone's awareness, those referees are not accredited by Ontario Soccer / Canada Soccer as evidenced by the lack of badge on their uniform.

6:50 right winger #12 not pictured is off side, as the camera pans over afterward you can see that player who the AR must have flagged. You can see #12's shadow....

Still a more competetive game than any game modern goalkeeping has played in 😂

I think I’d be really cool if you did subscriber analysis, like if you had an inbox where subs send clips from their games and you give tips for individual plays.

I broke someones shin with my bare shin while disputing a ball when i was 9 years old. I didnt even feel anything. Next day i was called to the principals office(one of many many times). The kid was there with a broken leg and i was going to get punsihed. When the principal looked at my leg and saw that i didnt even have a scratch the other kid got in trouble for lying even though I told the principal that our shins did collide but accidentaly.

I love your reaction to the mis-call by the AR at 7:15. When you seen a bunch of these videos, you get used to it.

I played a Sunday league as a goalie... Referring to those games is really bad. I had a dislocated shoulder, cracked ribs, a minor concussion, a knee to my temporal bone, and a black eye with some bleeding by the end of the game... not a single card. After getting a knee to my lower back had a spinal disc herniated. The opposite side scored a goal while I was screaming in fucking pain... the goal was allowed. After that incident, I stopped playing because fuck that.

The goalie should have gone for the first two footer. I also agree, that in other circumstances the goalie would have been made very aware by the opposition that both his 'tackles' were an act of sh*thousery in the most robust of ways!

why do keepers stand at the top of their box for long range 1v1s in the 1st place, you should be dropping off into your six and making the striker delay his option and not allow them to easily chip or side foot you.

I dont agree, its better to be more close to the attacker because from the attacker point of view he wont have many options to score unless doing some of the harder options like dribble or a chip. The problem is the commitment (or the lack of in some clips) from the goalie to launch at the ball is kinda late, terrible and of course dangerus. If you watch pro play many goalies tend to stay really far up so they can just commit at the attacker the right way if an attack happens.

This goalie would get his ass knocked out for sure in our league. All his tackles have bad intentions. He's most likely NOT a true soccer player. Sunday league is to get together with your homies and have fun. It's a useful healthy outlet from your everyday day life.

3:20 there is a case for it being a pen, but I would also say that it’s advantage because the attacker did get his shot away. A pen would seem to give the attacking team a second bite at the apple. The following clip looked more like a genuine penalty that should have been awarded

The foul seemed to happen after the attacker had already shot - he stopped at defender ran into him. I'd say if the goalkeeper had been unable to catch the ball, then maybe a penalty but in this situation it would be a really soft call. And yeah the following clip looks like a clear cut penalty.

So, as a ref, if your first thought is this MIGHT be a pen, don’t call it. You have to be certain

Oh, he's American. I think that he got his sports confused. The skill level is pub league.

Aside from avoiding retaliation. After that first challenge which was a clear attempt on injuring the opponent the ref decided to give that keeper 2 more chances in doing so. If somebody does a challenge like that he either doesn't know what he could or couldn't do on the pitch or he is doing this stuff intentionally. In both cases that guy needs to go for the savety of everybody.

American Sunday League is completely different to that of English.

First decision. Easy penalty. tackle in the back after the shoot on goal 2nd could go either way. Attack was off balanced but the extension of the arm sells it as a penalty. 3rd penalty and yellow for GK (Double Jeopardy) 4th free kick and Red for GK (Double Jeopardy)

For the 3rd, it would only be a yellow if it was a genuine attempt for the ball, which this is obviously not.
