I find that the dutch goalkeeper's content is far from the content that modern goalkeeping put out. I think it's a lot better and with a better mood and quality. He's not giving out bad advice, and doesn't disguise boast as educational content.

I got this advice from a goalkeeper who’s played pro @Conor O’Keefe: Self talk - keep everything positive, tell yourself that you’re excited to play. Excited and nervous feel the same in your stomach- but one is a lot more positive for your brain than the other!

I would even say imagery aswell pre-match and some box breathing. Mastering the mind on Spotify is a podcast I use for my studies. They did an episode with the Nottingham Forest gk coach, that might be of interest to you.

Dont think about anything but your training. Dont think about the next match. Dont think about how the free-or cornerkick will come in. Dont imagine yourself in situations, especially before a game. Let your instincs do the job and try to turn off your head when you enter the field. Toni Schumacher once said: just act like a lion on the hunt. A Lion doesnt think at all, he is just doing whats in his nature. Your nature is to be a GK. Focus on the ball and your surroundings.Thats it.

i’ve been pleasantly surprised with dutch gk popping off over the past year or two, he’s a good influence and i really enjoy a lot of his full vids. mike is just an all round disgrace i haven’t bothered watching anything he’s done for years

Hey Tyler I need some advice I’m trying to win the starting spot for this upcoming high school season but for some reason I have trouble diving to my left comfortably. I think it’s a mental block more than a problem with athletic ability because I can get to my right perfectly fine. Do you have any advice for me to over come that issue?

As someone with the same problem, I think it helps to just practice practice practice and work on getting comfortable with diving to the left. I’d look for drills and tips on getting better and run through them as often as possible 🧤

Keep an eye on your footing and make sure you are keeping them pointing straight. My coach use to give me shit for becoming "penguin" footed

You have to get comfortable by starting all the way from the basics. Learning how to dive to your weak side is difficult but can be achieved by starting from being down on one knee and having someone throw to you weak side. However you have to have your right knee down if you're diving to the right and left knee down if your diving to the right but pushing off that leg as to dive in the direction you are trying to get stronger dives in. I wish I could explain it to you in a better way but I hope you get what I'm talking about.

I wish i ever got a chance to train as a goalkeeper I Was never a goal keeper or a football player but last 2 years i have casually played football and play goalkeeper position but i never tried to dive i know the macanics. But cos the people i play with are also casual players i have never gotten a chance to practice diving i can catch and all but im afraid to dive cos if i never done it i may land awkwardly on may arm and get some bad injuries. And since i started during my early 20s im not sure how good i can be as a goalkeeper.😢

If someone posts content for entertainment and DOES NOT try to convince the viewer that it's purposed for anything else BUT entertainment, then there should be no issue. The content is there and the people have the freedom to watch. Problems happen when the lying begins, and DutchGK NEVER LIED, and I salute him for that. Also, how come that Mike from Modern Goalkeeping has had this stolen brand logo for a number of years now without being legally pursued?! If I did something similar, I'd expect a call from an attorney within a couple of days from launching the brand!

Gripple Inc, who have nothing to do with KZread or Football, are never going to see some random non-professional represented brand for goalkeepers. Most copyright only comes to a brands attention if you're operating in a similar space to them or someone points it out to them.

As a Keeper from Thailand, i personally would if I could be 100% sure that I would get starting position or alot of game time otherwise if the gk coach is better at the club your at, i would stay there for a bit and work my way up.

Its a smart play, lead with a clickbaity title then proceed to approve of said exposed individual (who just so happens to have millions of followers), I'd do it too, fair play hope ur channel grows since you are genuinely informative about all things goalkeeping
