You're a legend NottNott. Your summary of EndMyopia got me in the game years ago and its what i send to anyone who is interested in learning about what im doing. I actually see the difficulty you're having as a weakness in the EndMyopia method - it's super impractical to get outside for an hour every day and practice distance vision. And i dont buy the "your indoor lifestyle is bad, you should spend hours outdoors like me" line. If tons of people arent able to do it, it just means the method's not good enough yet. The project is about ending myopia, the "outside is good" thing is an unrelated opinion Jake holds that he has welded onto the side of the main thing. It does work. I'm sure taking off my clothes and returning to monke in the woods for five years would fix my myopia too, but so what - it's not something im going to actually _do_ so that information is useless to me. More experimentation is needed. I don't know if the answer is plus lenses or an undiscovered eye exercise or VR shooters or what but we have to do better imo. It's like posture. The advice to "Be mindful of your posture throughout the day" doesn't work, because it's completely impractical and impossible. "Spend ten minutes a day doing hip flexor stretches and bent over rows" _does_ work. We need something like that, something that's actually doable and not a huge imposition on someone's day. Until then, methods like this will remain on the fringe and big optometry will continue to rule.

Great job improving your vision! I'm really happy for you. Keep up the good work, Nott. One thing though and you already kinda said it: For the less fortunate people with axial elongation who reached adulthood > reversing all of the myopia past the ciliary spasm will inevitably take years (many). it took Jake more than 5 years from -5.00 if I'm not mistaken, possibly close to 10. Which shows how critical prevention is at low myopia. EM or any other myopic defocus method works, and is super healthy and recommended, but don't expect miracles.

Very nice, dude. I'm glad you're still at it. It's definitely a waiting game, especially for those of us that like to game a lot and just wind up delaying the process even more, lol. It'll go slower, but it'll still go, and I have seen the gradual returns for sure. As long as there is enough distance vision in one's lifestyle, there's no need to drop computers and whatnot. Good job reducing that far!

I REALLY appreciate this video and some of the comments here too. My vision is very complex, but I've made between 1-1.5D of sustained improvement in around 18 months on one eye (optician-verified; the other is a different story which I won't get into). Seeing stories of huge diopter drops and people talking about the process as being simple and relatively straightforward can be discouraging. So, thank you for the reality check here. The process works but I do feel it's easier for some than others for sure. In the future I'm thinking of making a documentary about Endmyopia which I very much hope you may agree to be part of. :)

Nice to see another video. You inspired me loads at the beginning. Hope you can get away from screen soon! I have given up "screen-based entertainment" for Lent and whoa! What a reality check on what screen time was doing for my eyes. (This isn't entertainment, Was checking the forum for updates and saw your video there.) Phone time is at 30mins screen time a day for me now. I can feel my eyes loving it. After a long plateau, it is so great to see things coming along again. Thought you were going to overtake me for a while there..... I mean, you already have when it comes to amount of improvement, but not by sheer current myopia value. Want to race? In a nice, calm, slow and steady way? ;)

Why do you say that 20-20-20 isn't even recommended? And... You decreased 2.00 diopters and you didn't increased again. That's a HUGE improvement for me. I'm gonna make an update haha: just realized that my left eye had an .50 overprescription (that's fine to discover at time) I think I'm improving my vision but I also think I've reduced too much too fast. As I said, I didn't bought new normalized glasses because I had just bought other glasses, and I started using my previous ones as normalized, which have +1.00 from my strong ones (I have high myopia) I am a translator so work is mostly from my computer 😭😭😭 but I do really want to improve and I am decreasing my phone screen-time, screen-time completely useless. I am also getting floaters and double vision, yay. Anyways, someday I hope I make an important improvement and maybe I'll make a video like yours.

Jake doesn't recommend 20-20-20 rule, doesn't seem to be effective IMHO. If you're doing 30 seconds distance vision every 20 minutes, I don't think it's enough to counteract that. If you do 5 minutes distance vision every 20 minutes, that will send you insane. 20-20-20 rule isn't seemingly necessary or effective. Good luck :)
